Probably the best available fight for him in the division. Campbell is probably slightly better than Commey but Loma will KO both IMO.

Gervonta doesn't want it until Loma is old.
Garcia won't fight him off a loss/work with Arum/wants to fight in a different weight class.
Teofimo seems willing but will be held back I reckon.

He's great to watch and everything but he might as well move up to 140 now, fights with Commey or Campbell don't really prove anything. Pacquaio moved up and up until he reached his limit (Margarito). Fuck it, just put every fight on PPV and make him fight harder challenges - Mikey, the WBSS 140lb winner, Hooker, hell even a fight with Crawford at 140.

He's 31 and should learn from Golovkin's mistakes.

Not much the guy can do, it's not like he has a queue of guys lining up to face him. Gervonta Davies is managed by Mayweather, who will no doubt want to wait a few years until Loma is in his mid thirties before making the Tank fight. Mayweather did not become a superstar until his late twenties/early thirties. Tank is 24, so Mayweather isn't gonna rush him into risky fights he can lose

The Welterweight division is where it's at right now, but Loma is unfortunately too small

Decent stay busy fight plus for a title. I like Luke and think he has a nice style. But Loma will brutalize him.
At least it's a better fight than Easter Jr or Commey. I guess Barthelemy would've done also just like Fortuna. But I like Fortuna too much (no ****) to see Loma destroy him.

He seemingly simply wants to unify the belts, doesn't much care who holds them. A shame as this is pointless for anything other than adding the third belt. Can't blame Campbell for taking it, but when he says 'no one can stand between me and the belts', I fear he's about to find out that Loma will.

Who else really is there at 135, though? Campbell is probably the #1 contender for anyone at this point. Only other fight would be Teofimo Lopez. I mean Barthelemy and Easter Jr. both looks horrible in their fight.

Even if wasn't for a title it'd still be a perfectly fine (stay-busy) fight. Olympic GOLD medalist and top 5 LWW. Compare that to all the atrocious stay-busy fights of 95%.
BTW when Mikey was fighting Zlaticanin, Lipinets and Easter Jr for titles the 2 Loma haters in this thread didn't complain.

Are you referring to me as a Loma hater? I'm on record as saying he's as technically good as anyone I've ever seen in the sport and I love watching him fight, and I'd be supporting him in any big fight because I think it's an opportunity to see greatness cemented.

I'm a massive fan. I just can't justify pissing away 12 months of a limited prime on fighting fucking Crolla and then Campbell.

Campbell is better than Crolla, but not the level of opponent that Loma needs for legacy.

His stated goal means poor fights that do nothing for legacy. Garcia has ducked him, so I do blame Garcia. Santa Cruz is bigger than Loma, could easily move up to super feather, has lost once in his career and avenged that loss, never been stopped, and is just outside the rings top ten p4p.

Berchelt or Davis would both be better and it's not about who you think is better, it's about who the pundits and most fans think is better... as those are the career defining bouts.

Beating Garcia would be massive in terms of how it is viewed by boxing fans and the history books. Beating Campbell won't be.

It's frustrating to see his prime years disappearing with fights like fucking Crolla.
