Why is Star Wars so popular?

There was nothing else like it. There was some sort of similar stuff that didn't stress universal story the same, and some story stuff without the special affects. But nothing quite like the whole affair with the apic bad guy and everything. My first memory is coming back from the cinema...

    Test Cricket: England-Pakistan I

 very this thread to praise Pope for today's test cricket. Though that said, every word of praise has been earned by the young man. That said, today belonged to Pakistan. The genius that was The Immortal Abass gating the great Stokes at 80mph by just moving him about the crease - like...

Absolutely wonderful century; how good about to become apparent. World class stuff that. World class stuff from Abass now.

They've sensibly taken tea. Might see more at 4 for a long session, forecast is a bit better than it's been.

I'm not sure, I can't decide. You saw a couple bumping through to the wicket keeper and Bess is getting some turn - two spinners could be a great move. I'm very excited about this test match, very excited. The Windies series was good, hopefully this one could be even better.

Pakistan have seized control. 121-2 Masood 45 Azam 52 Azam is right in and is on form. He's played some glorious shots. Masood hasdone his job, the job of the opener. Off for rain with the test beautifully poised.

Who is your favourite blue collar, workmanlike, journeyman type athlete?

Neil Wagner is a GREAT bowler. I loved Gary Mason back in the day. He was a proper bruiser and a really sound geezer. Was world-ranked though, briefly, so maybe doesn't qualify. Scott Paterson was a journeyman centre-back who had a couple of seasons at Partick Thistle and I admired him...

He's had a good morning, and given what Anderson has done to him in the past I'd argue that was as exceptional a 27 as you'll see. Overall though, that's England's morning - Pakistan restricted to too few runs to have taken the session, but it's only by a smidge. Ten overs without loss would...
