Didn't dare weigh in today after my little transgression last night, instead choosing to put a big day in the bank.
Basically skipped breakfast as I was still full from dinner, and had some vegan popcorn chicken at midday. Had lunch at about 2:30pm, which was stuffed field mushrooms with a side of Greek salad.
Couple of low carb beers after work, then zipped over to the supermarket after work to stock up on the diet groceries.
I banked my first 30 minute cardio session of the challenge this evening, just doing my half an hour on the treadmill. My fitness isn't what it was a year ago, but managed it at a slower pace.

Fuck it, just the weigh in I deserved.
If nothing else, it had me feeling motivated. Ate really well, lunch was the same halloumi with chargrilled veg and Greek salad, and I was pumped for exercise. But I made the mistake of getting home and laying out on the bed and watching an episode of a show. I dozed for about 10 minutes and that was the end of me.

Not a bad day diet wise. Kept on with the fruit and the nuts for snacks. Had fish for lunch then low fat sausage for dinner with a load of beans and veg. Fitness is hard to pick up, did some work at footy training, but I'm well off so its a slow start. Really want to get some gym time on the weights.

Again a solid day diet wise, enjoyed the usual with an added ice cream cone while I sunned it and walked round a castle with the youngest. Dinner was two chicken breasts and veg so I'm happy with that. Got a good cardio session in too. Picking up slowly.

Back after a few days without internet.

Same stellar eating day. Vegetarian with plenty of leafy greens, nothing after 3pm. Got into the gym with the intention of another 30 minutes on the treadmill... got through about five but had to stop due to back pain, so did another ten on the incumbent bike. I finished with 5x10 lower back raises/extensions... the gravity really helped me stretch the pain out.

I did another "silly Sunday" today. Had all the meat I wanted and dabbled in a bit of junk. Drank way too much, and finished the night with a burger and fries as I watched all of the sport. So late eating and bad choices make it a dreaded double zero.

Followed up yesterday's stupidity slightly more stupidity. I slept and slept and slept... before chowing down on some beef sausages and low carb bread... If I'd have called game right there, it actually would have been a decent day's eating. But I finished the leftover sausages as low carb sandwiches at about 4:30pm (one strike for eating after 3pm), then decided to eat custard and yoghurt for "dessert". Another strike.
No exercise, just pathetic hangover self-pity. At least I managed to salvage a point!

Still running scared from the scales, but I ate extremely well by way of routine! I skipped breakfast (rhythm is still a little shot from the weekend) so I ate some fruit and cashews around 10am for breakfast. Had the same vegetarian lunch with plenty of leafy greens and some halloumi and vegetables.
Failed once again at making it to the gym. I must make that a priority next month (before then, really)... But happy with the routine of diet I've established so far. I need to accelerate my results!

Morning weigh in: 114.9kgs

Not so bad, really. But I'm a little sick of running scared from the scales at the start of each week. My objective next week is to be eager to stand on the bastard things.
Four slices of low carb toast with cheese for breakfast, and haloumi with grilled vegetables and pesto, along with Greek salad for lunch. No food after 3pm. Had one cup-a-soup (no noodles, chucked all those ones away) and a cup of coffee before the gym.
Hit the treadmill for half an hour and it felt pretty good. Selected good tunes, but really got through it. Satisfied with that effort!

Morning weigh in: 113.9kgs

This officially puts me in the realm of 10kgs!
Literally the exact same breakfast and lunch as the previous days... I'm on a good thing and it's still relatively easy to stick to. Although I did add some vegan chicken to my lunch. Bought a little tub of yoghurt and saw it had 30 bloody grams of sugar in it, so I ate about half and threw the rest.
Stayed back at work because it was pretty busy, didn't get time for a workout. A couple too many low carb ciders afterward.
No food after 3pm.

A great start to the day before a pretty bad tumble. The usual breakfast, then the chef at work sent me down a beef and guinness pie for lunch (he knows how much I love a b&g, so he wanted me to have the first one)... I was bloody helpless to resist it! I then knocked off work and drank far too many beers, and broke the late eating thing with a cup-a-soup and low carb bread at about midnight when I got home.
One strike for the b&g, one strike for the over-drinking, and one strike for the late eating, and hey presto, a double zero day.

Morning weigh in: 114kgs
And my rhythm was interrupted tonight by a shift swap. So I woke up hungover on a Saturday, and unlike my usual sleep-in/morning off (which falls on a Monday), all the local eateries were open, so I ate a banh mi, a meat pie and a donut. I went off to work and then stuck to the no food after 3pm thing until the last possible moment.... then I ate a handfull of chocolate covered berries at about 2am.
One strike for the stupid breakfast, one strike for oversized portions, one strike for the late eating.

Ate another banh mi and a meat pie for breakfast, then some pastries for late lunch. Ate a heavy feed of sushi at dinner, then some ice cream.Terrible.
That's a total of five strikes for oversized portions, carbs, junk, late eating and too many meals.

I have peeled off 7.5 kg this year. Probably only about 3 kg from my ideal weight now.
Nice!
I'd shedded about 9kgs since the start of the month until my little spill this weekend (pretty consistent with monthly splurge day anyway), but I'm pretty far from my ideal weight... when you're as out of shape as I was, your body is ready to burn the first few kilos very quickly... I've had my fun, back to work tomorrow, and back on a healthy diet!
My goal is to make it officially 10kgs lost for the month, then kick it up a gear next month!

I woke up this morning feeling like garbage from all the bad eating, and I instantly had the craving for more bad food... it is just a self-perpetuating cycle!
Since the past three days were of such a level of fuckery, I decided to have a little more... it's pretty much the end of the month anyway.
I'd done so much stupid shit, but I hadn't had two of the main things I crave when I'm on a cheat weekend. Instant noodles, and a burger and chips. But, apparently I wasn't satisfied enough with those things, so I also grabbed a small apple pie and covered it in dairy whip.
For fuck's sake. :patsch
My eating was so bad, I don't know if I deserve a point for avoiding late eating, but I did avoid all food after 3pm.
I did, however, hit the treadmill for 30 minutes tonight. My goal of four cardio sessions this week is in good stead for it.

Morning weigh in: 115.7kgs

Well, I wanted to be eager to stand on the scales at the start of this week... I wasn't exactly eager, but I faced the music anyway.
I couldn't find any of my low-carb bread at either of the local ALDI stores last night. That stuff is becoming one proper hot-ticket item.
Instead I bought a twelve pack of eggs and boiled up six... Had three and three slices of cheese for breakfast. Ate a 50g bag of cashews at about midday then the same super-healthy lunch... halloumi, chargrilled veg and Greek salad.
Had a fiendish craving for the broth that comes with shin ramyun noodles... regular cup-a-soup just wasn't going to cut it. So I bought a shin cup and some kimchi ramyun noodles, succeeded in throwing out the noodles cakes and making the chilli broth... FUCKING HELL it was good... spicy and hot on a cold night!
Hit the treadmill for half an hour, might even be the first time this month!
Good day. Only thing to do is follow it with another one!

Well shit, I bounced back pretty well!
Three hard boiled eggs and three cheese slices for breakfast, then a bag of cashews at work. I meant to order some vegan popcorn chicken, but accidentally ordered jalapeno poppers... which are stuffed with cheese then fried. No carbs, but that has got to be a strike. :lol:
After that, the same pattern of eating as usual: haloumi, chargrilled veg and Greek salad. No food after 3pm, but two kimchi ramyun soup bases, chucked the noodles away.
I flip-flopped around and wasted too much time watching tennis and dicking around online, by the time I got up to zip out to the gym I was running around the house trying to find my trainers, my ipod, etc... and left it too late. Sounds stupid, but I really do try to get to the gym precisely 30 minutes before closing time to just do my cardio when it's really quiet.
So I missed my workout for a very stupid reason.
Can't let it go to waste... a good chance to get a nice proper sleep.

Work was brutally busy. A long, physical day in which I successfully avoided any bad eating.
I did hit the low carb beers and ciders a little too hard though. I'll count in a strike based off that.

Woke up feeling absolutely fried, as is the norm on a Saturday. As it was the first day of the month I treated myself to a couple of krispy kreme donuts before work, before having a chickpea, cous cous and lentil salad for lunch.
Once again I hit the low carb beers too hard after work, only this time I faltered after work, having two more kirspy kreme donuts and a meat pie.

Another late night watching tennis, and I woke up late. I bought a bag of ingredients for a heavy but low-carb brunch as I watched the basketball... some low-fat sausages and parma ham and cheese to pair with my low carb bread.
After a silly weekend of erratic sleep, drinking and terrible eating, I failed to make it into the gym again. I also faltered on my diet and ate a big bag of potato chips and two packets of instant noodles. Heavy carbs, late eating and heavy low-carb eating earlier in the day make three strikes. Another double zero. Thankfully no point subtractions, but a new month must mean a new approach. Keen to get back on track, and keen to get my jump-rope routine back in order.

Well, once again, the weigh in I deserved. Also noteworthy that after past transgressions I've waited until I'd had a flush day before weighing in. This time I wanted to see the consequences!
I hope to weigh in somewhere in the 115's tomorrow morning.
Skipped breakfast because was full from last night, and had some cashew nuts at work. Had a pear at about 1pm, then the same super-healthy lunch at 2pm. Nothing after that.
Gym at 10:30pm for 30 minutes of cardio on the treadmill.
That's a solid day in the book. First of many!

Okay, so that's a little closer to the mark. Better than I expected too!
Today was a stellar effort diet wise, but didn't make the gym as I pulled a twelve hour day at work before rushing home to watch the French Open. I heated up some shin ramyun soup (threw the noodle cake away) and downed it as I waited for scheduled play to begin, only to realise we were in the midst of a rain delay. Good old Roland Garros: no retractable roof, no lights.
I actually probably could have squeezed in the 30 minutes of cardio by the time I wised up to the situation, but I had a strong gut-full of hot liquid (sure to make a treadmill workout hell) and I just wasn't in the zone mentally.
Crashed out, ready for another good diet day.

Now we're back in the game.
I started out with 5 slices of low carb toast with cheese, then trucked off to work.
I had the worst case of the hungries today, and found myself grazing on any damn thing. I ate an orange in an attempt to appease the dreaded hungries, but eventually a box of chocolates came out and I ate six pieces. equalling about 30g carbs. That's an instant strike.
Lunch came around and I ate my usual haloumi, salad and chargrilled veg at about 2:30pm, and that settled me down. Had two low carb beers after work and nothing else.
Half an hour on the treadmill. Nothing special about the actual workout, but absolutely special that I made it in to keep my dream of four visits alive.

That weigh in was the last thing that went right today. After two steady days on the lash I had a quintessential pathetic hangover day. I was absolutely miserable after drinking at least my weight in vodka and beer for two straight days, and despite eating pretty well throughout these alcoholic transgressions, I found it much harder to do when hungover.
I really laid it on thick. The whole nine yards: netflix, bed, uber eats.... I started with a burger and fries with gravy, along with some choice stupid snacks from the supermarket, which included fruits in jelly and canned fruit salad. Had a nap after that and woke up later to have some more unhealthy food... loaded fries with gravy and chicken and a chicken sub from red rooster, followed by a bloody big tub of passionfruit yoghurt.
Three strikes for huge portions, carbs and late eating.
No chance of any gym.
