Archer just hit Carey on the chin, or cut his chin while blasting his helmet off...yeah, hit him on the guard I think and drove the helmet into the chin.

I really like Carey. I rate him. Let's see what kind of man he is when it comes to the world cup.

Great bowling so far, but have a feeling that if we don't get Smith out before the ball softens, then these two could end up forming a partnership that moves them on nicely. Got to make this pressure count and remove Smith.

That's the right attitude, but does it really matter? I mean if you beat Australia, Voodoo NZ is just going to cut your throat...

Being runners up is better than not making the final. Plus nobody hates the Kiwis, whereas with Australia...

OOOooooo Rashid, that was beautiful. Stoinis got his tatties there, plum on the thigh. 118-5 is it? Man, Smith is going to have to do this on his own.

Well, looks like the Aussie bowlers will have to pull out all the stops, now.

100 runs needed.
33 overs left.
3 runs an over required run rate .
9 wickets in hand.

Not the most terrble position to be in.

Yep. At home, not injury ravaged, and looking on form. All advantages, all reasons why they could very well win the game.

Had the better team on paper in pool play too - got crushed.

Sure, to an extent - but tell that to the South Africans, who fall apart every World Cup since their nightmare debut exit. Or to the All Blacks, who destroyed all-comers for decades and visibly panicked and lost every time an inferior team gave them a close game in a knockout World Cup match. It's foolish to deny that Australia raise their game at the World Cup. For some reason, they have a winning mentality and that is real. They haven't been the best ODI team in the world for 16 out of the last 20 years, yet the World Cup says they have been. They have several players in their lineup who have won a World Cup final before. England don't have anyone who ever played with a teammate who made a World Cup Final. That's not nothing.

Sure, on the bookies. For me, this is a pick 'em. :thumbsup
