Got any highlights?
Haven't listened to much of it yet. It takes about 10 minutes to get through Rogan's advertisements just for starters.

Probably won't get a chance to finish it until tomorrow or the next day.

Ward said after he had announced his retirement that they tried to entice him back with a 3 fight deal that went like this :

1/ A gimme opponent just to shake off the rust.

2/ Bellew.

3/ Joshua.

Ward also said after Roy Jones won the WBA heavyweight title, beating John Ruiz, the plan was for him to fight Tyson and he was offered crazy money to do it. Perhaps $40m.

But Roy got sucked in to fighting Tarver after Tarver continually goaded him. That of course involved losing about 20 pounds and proved a bad career move as Tarver and Glen Johnson both KOed him.

If Roy had have fought Tyson he may well have got whopped but he would have made a fortune and may not have ended up fighting until he was 40 and shot to bits.

Great interview from start to finish, I was one of Ward's few fans on boxing forums when he was active. He was the one fighter who reminded me of Lomachenko, his adaptability/mental fortitude/ring IQ/ability to fight and box in all ranges. I wish he kept fighting but he had a perfect career, and has skills/intellect to do things other than boxing. A really under appreciated boxer and character. With that said he's a moron for not having Lomachenko above Crawford pfp.

You mean Lomachenko reminded you of Ward.

Ward's thought on Kovalev - and there were many - made for interesting listening.

Did Rogan bring up Kovalev-Canelo, and whether or not Ward would comeback for $30 million to out-box Canelo if he got past Kovalev
Ward said Kovalev is fading and Canelo's timing might be good (if I remember correctly).

As for Ward himself returning, he made it quite clear he does not intend to.

How did you watch Loma in 2007? I know he competed in the 2007 World Championships but the footage of that on Youtube didn't get uploaded until many years later.
Boxing torrent site by invite. I remember watching Lomachenko lose to Selimov, Korobov dominate at middle, Vodopyanov win at 54kg, and Beterbiev lose to a small southpaw in the final. I still have that DVD somewhere.
