If I'm remembering correctly, this was previously scheduled in January. He's fighting Julio Cesar Martinez Aguilar (13-1, 10KOs). As talented as Selby is, it's a tough ask getting the win in Mexico -- and Aguilar's backers must have confidence in him to spend the money to get Selby over.

On boxrec, the event doesn't have any other fights listed or even a promoter :think1

When you're getting dragged to Mexico to fight an unknown opponent, the warning signs have to start flashing. They're not dropping the money to bring someone over if their guy is a scrub.

As for the fight, Selby was boxing well. He arguably won the first four rounds (including a point deduction for Aguilar), and his best round was the 4th. In relation to what had happened up until that point, the body shot KO came out of nowhere.

Not sure where Selby goes now.

Apparently they're going to make JMCA Charlie Edward's mando next. It surely can't be in Mexico.
