Tony Bellew made Usyk look human for several rounds until he remembered he was a semi retired celebrity boxer mid way through the fight.

The reason AJ vs Usyk wont happen next is because if Pulev gets hold of that IBF hes going to defend it against nobodies for about 2-3 years then cash out and retire

True but the next in line is Kownacki then Kayabel so Pulev should beat whichever one becomes mandatory then we have to see next in line, if Usyk goes for the WBO and Andy Ruiz fights a PBC fighter it will be Michael Hunter after that, the IBF line up is weak

What a joke that a guy with 1 heavyweight fight to his name since he climbed into the heavyweight ranks could stand in the way of the unification fight the entire world wants to see, and I say that knowing that Usyk was a great cruiserweight.

I don't know who is pushing for that mandatory to be honest, Team Usyk or Team Joshua.

Usyk has been pushing for this since the start. His team really want him to fight for the belt ASAP.
Eddie has been saying that since he became mandatory.
I don't think he wants a long career at heavyweight. It also seems he is starting to get a lot of injuries.
I would do the same thing in his position. No point taking stupid risks. Go for the belt and the money while you can. He doesn't owe Fury or Joshua anything.

Well they're both with Matchroom so I'd expect Eddie to be able to sort that out, in the grand scheme of things that seems to me the least of the problems. If Eddie can't get Usyk to keep quiet I'd be surprised.

Eddie is only co-promoter. Usyk has his own promoter and manager. He also knows his own mind
Will be a difficult one to manage if they are hell bent on enforcement.

Ah I didn't realise he was in a co-promotional deal, the other half of his promo team any good? Because they might have to work solo if Usyk isn't going to cooperate..
I'll be honest, I didn't know (and I'm still unsure as to whether this is actually the norm) that a lower divisional champ moving up could be mandatory in his 3rd fight at the weight class, normally it's an immediate shot he's moving up for and I thought if he didn't take it immediately he had to climb up like everyone else. This is rather irritating but perhaps the WBO would permit the undisputed fight in spite of Usyk's bellyaching

It's the norm for WBO champs to be made mandatory if they move up. When that mandatory is called us subject to all the usual boxing politics.
I hope it can get sorted and we see the undisputed fight, but I'm not so sure. Maybe they are just angling for a decent step aside and aguarantee that they will be next for the winner.
What do you think about what @wesshaw1985 suggested? I'm good if the belts go in the trash and they just duke it out. Floyd used to drop belts and refuse to pay sanctioning for his opponent's belt and we all agreed that he was number 1 in the world, belt or no belt. If the belts are going to cause us all this headache I'm all for a fight with no belts, just the RING on the line and lineal

I would prefer all the belts on the line, but I don't really care.
It's a great fight and whoever wins is the clear best in the division. We'd all watch it even if there are no belts.
I can understand why the fighters would like to be undisputed, but for the fans it's less of an issue.
