I listened to Carnivore - Retaliation earlier when I went for a run. I love Type O Negative and i've heard Carnivore before a long time ago after I discovered the association to Peter Steele, so this was a revisit. Quite a listening experience....Stylistically it is actually not much different than the first Type O Negative album....don't think the cd would go over well in today's climate though loooooooool

I heard that S.O.D. are going to do a reunion tour - I am hoping they play all the old songs just to piss off all the SJWs

I saw Slayer for about the 10000th time Sunday night - I give Tom about 2 years before he is itching to get back out on the road - I know Kerry ain't going to stop anytime soon - he already has about 4-5 new songs written

"God Hates Us All" was the first "extreme" metal album that made a real impact on me.

I grew up with an older brother that is a huge metal head. He is 10 years older than me so he was a teenager during the 90's when a lot of that great music was coming out. Our parents are very old fashioned so they don't like this kind of music to say the least lol; my brother had all sorts music but for the longest time he would only let me listen to like Iron Maiden, Stone Temple Pilots, Guns N'Roses, stuff like that. One day he gave me God Hates Us All on cassette and was like Don't show or tell Mom and Dad. I was like 13 or something. I thought the album artwork was pretty interesting (lol) and I put it on. I listened to the whole thing and felt so ashamed at the end like I had disappointed my parents loool.

Saw iron maiden friday and sat at the 02. Support act killswitch engage were ok, but sounded the same by the end. There clean stuff was good, the screamy parts were a bit boring overall. Maiden were sheer class, bruce dickinson has turned 60 this week, and boy were his vocals on point. The clansman, flight of icurus where he sang while wearing and firing a flame thrower lol, was crazy good. Horrid to think there time cant be to long left really, but he did say there not going any where at end so hope we get a few more tours and albums.

Sounds like you had a great night. I don't want to talk it down, cause I'm sure it was a pure class and fun night for you, but I guess the "on point" was exaggerated. I guess you are a huge fan? I saw some videos of their current tour and thought his vocals were horrible.
I encountered the same problem with concerts I went to. I saw Metallica 2008 and was blown away live. I saw Dream Theater and was also blown away and I am a huge fan. Then I downloaded the bootlegs and was gutted. Both times the vocals were weak as fuck. I deleted the bootlegs and rather wanted to keep the memories in my head.

Footage of London gigs are on YouTube. Not sure what is wrong with the vocals really. I am a huge fan and thought he was excellent for a 60 year old fella who had tongue cancer. Always thought dream theatre singer was really poor live. Seem them only twice mind you.
