Any one into solstice, a UK doom band ?. I brought there discography pretty much on bandcamp.

I had two of there older albums which I lost, also saw them a few times in the 90's. There new stuff is just epic as fuck.

Don't really listen to metal as much now but Sepultura is awesome.

In my teens I knew this band carried weight but I didn't really like what I heard from them. I listened to Machine Head's Burn My Eyes a while ago and then I understood. It's a pretty good metal cd. I like this song from it.

Been blasting new Tyr album recently. Pretty good overall. Theres a new amon amarth song and vid out to. Not much has changed but good silly fun. Feel like they dont care much about progressing any more with sound, make good money touring and give fans what they want.....loud aggressive melodic viking sounding metal.

Machine head around then were legit. Hes a total cunt now is rob Flynn. Alienated most of original band, and there last CD was left wing shit....jesus how did he go from burn my eyes to the new stuff.

Could never get into them before, but damn that sounded great. Will spotify a playlist later.
This was released when the band were between singers. Dimitri Minakakis, who was pretty monotonous and couldn't do too much else than scream, had left. They'd previously toured with Mr Bungle so Mike Patton joined them for this EP. His fingerprints are all over this record and it's one of the best combinations of band and singer you could imagine. It's like they were both playing catch up with each other. Greg Puciato would then join who was more aggressive than Patton but also significantly more talented and diverse than Minakakis.

Their first album Calculating Infinity (the only one with Minakakis) is completely uncompromising, raw, brutal shit. Their stuff with Puciato is extreme but they show some restraint at times and there is more of a focus on implementing stylistic diversity around their own sound. If they click with you you're in for a treat :yep

Loving this young Canadian band. Huge Judas priest and rob hlaford vibe mixed with speed metal, excellent stuff. Cant wait for album to drop.

This and the 2nd house of Atreus are right up there with the all time great power/trad/epic metal albums. Just brilliant.
