I've been thinking of getting a car recently and I always liked this model and I'm seriously considering getting it.

Any car experts here willing to bring in some thoughts on the Audi TT model?

Pros and cons?

I'd consider the TT a girls car personally. And a bit too flash.

I was given an RS5 for a few days recently while my car (Jaguar XK) was being sorted, and it was noticeable how other drivers treated me like I was a cunt. Kind of hard to explain.

I like flashy sports cars.Never understood the whole it's a girl's ''insert whatever-phone,car,belt,etc'' thinking but whatever.

The thing is if it's a durable car?Is it worthy of getting? Is there another similar model at or around the same price?Gas or diesel?Which would be an optimum price range?Which is better for taxes?
Basically some technical details would be nice.I am getting it second hand so that is to keep in mind.

Audis have pretty good quality and a large dealer network in the US. If reliability is a concern, you might want to wait to year 2 of a new body to see if there are kinks and if they are worked out.

If I was going to buy a sports car I would not buy a fucking Audi. The TT may be great but damn.

If I were buying car that was good and could go a bit then the TT would be a good buy. Far better than any twat Fast and Furious stuff.

My dad worked for a car dealership for about 20 years, always steered me away from buying a new car. Half the value disappears on the drive home.

But, if you like the car, get it. Audi has a solid reputation and you should get a decent resale value out of it in a few years if you decide to get rid of it.

It's a Volkswagen. Same shit. Like someone else said, fuck what everyone thinks, if you want it and like it then get it. Personally, I would rather get one of those Corvette things that paloalto00 has in his avatar, or maybe a not-so-feministic looking ride but you know, different strokes for different folks.

My cousin let me babysit his Audi while he was out of the country for 6 months in 2008. German specs that he brought over because he was in the military. Man I was the pimp in at ride.

The interior was so f'n futuristic at the time. I fuckin loved it. It goes super fast from 2nd to 3rd gear.

It's a coupe so it has shitty bucket seats in the back so u can squeeze a tiny hoe.

It is anything but a girl's car. Maintenance is a fuckin bitch though

Not all Audis are for women, just the TT.

I've heard the lilac edition comes with a free pair of curling tongs.

Almost got a used one a couple of years ago. Ended up getting a new GTI instead. The deal breaker for me is that I still need back seats (TT doesn't have usable back seats) since I did my part to assist in the reconquista. Had a blast driving it and would have pulled the trigger if not for that one detail.

If you don't have a need for back seats, go for it. It's a fun little car and, like most Audis, has a nice, understated interior.
