As good as most that's for sure. Fat Yak and Mountain Goat Steam Ale also on the podium.
yep fat yaks good, so is 50 lashes, but coopers pale is my all time favourite. especially on tap.

i think it goes back to my uni days when our bar was the first to have chilled taps and they had both coopers pale and sparkling.

we lived on that stuff man :cheers

My bets mate's staple at the pub is 150 lashes. I drink it quite regularly too if I'm in a shout with him.

well basically it goes like this.

walk into the boozer, check out the taps and if they have coopers pale, then its a pint of that in a frosted glass.

next i'll search for 150 lashes, then fat yak.

if i can't get any of that then i'll see what they've got in bottles. usually redback or coopers pale in the bottle.

also corona.

one other beer i forgot to mention is weihenstephaner, that stuff on tap in a tall pint is just awesome.

the only place i ever saw it on tap is the settlers tavern in margaret river wa :good

We have a Belgian Beer Cafe here on Southbank in the heart of Melbourne that has a great assortment. Another great place for this sort of fare is Beer Deluxe located right in the heart of the CBD.

You are entitled to. Beer is like food. Our tastes very.

What I do know though is no amount of arguing will make me enjoy the taste of Great Northern. To my taste and in the opinion of the guys I drink with, it is cat's piss.
Beer is a funny the way people get behind and support their favourite.

I don’t mind most beers and would drink probably any type if it’s free haha

Though for me, the stock standard run of the mill Aussie largers like VB, New, Carlton Draught, even Great Northern etc are generally what I get if I’m choosing.

The more craft beers like Fat Yak are ok but I find them to be a bit to.. sweet.. I guess you could say.

Tell ya what though for a big name beer, Heineken is terrible. I’d drink it if someone else was paying but only if there was no other free choices. Wouldn’t catch me paying for it though

All the “big drinkers” mixing their beers, Hazza has one of these, then of them, then he searches for some other thing, then it’s onto something else
if you didn’t realise that makes you sick by the time you’re about 19 then you weren’t getting real good advice

My grandfather fled Scotland after world war 2 wanted to go as far away as possible from civilization - ended up in East Witchclife, nearest town was Margaret river, me and my little brother used to get sent down their for summer holidays to give my long suffering ma a break, at that time Margaret river felt like the end of the world - now I hear its a major stop on the all the Surf Contests and has been mega gentrified

Yeah Its those green bottles that don't block sunlight that lets the beer ferment that gives Heinekens their Skunky taste - thats why most companies use brown bottles

really? Not pandering to old wives tales are we!

you don’t think a multi national company like Heineken would have fixed a problem like that if it existed?

Do you mean sick as in a bad hangover? Or sick at the time of drinking.

I know It'l be a bit rough if I'm on beers then jump to rum, then back to beers, then to bourbon for example at the point I'm switching until I get over the shock in taste but as for switching making the hangovers worse. Can't say I agree.

I don't think I notice any difference in hangover after a night one only drinking one type of beer/spirit and a night where I've had a few beers, couple rums, a few vodkas, etc.

I reckon it's just more of how much alcohol you put away that leads to a bad hangover or not. If I go out and have only had like 5 or 6 standard drinks I'm waking up fine even if it was 5 or 6 different drinks. If I knock back 20 standards then I'm gonna feel rough whether it came from 20 of the same beers or if it was 7 beers, 7 other beers, 3 rums, 2 vodkas for example.

Correct. The same thing applies to Corona, who use clear glass bottles.

Unless beer is protected from exposure to UV, and the most common way this is achieved is by using brown bottles, it tends to smell.

Ready, fire, aim seems to be your modus operandi.

Do some research before making an even bigger fool of yourself. It will take you all of two minutes on Google.

you’re serious?

you reckon two of the biggest beer brands in the world don’t know how to successfully overcome that problem, if it indeed exists?
Corona, specifically marketed as a summer beer to be consumed in the sun from a hot climate, don’t be daft son

Where did I say it was a problem dickhead? The smell is a characteristic of the beer. A characteristic bought about by them not using brown bottles. You are even thicker than I thought.
