But exactly what part of homosexuality is a sin? Given that Jesus loves the sinner but hates the sin?

Is it love? Is love a sin?
Anything done against the will of god can be a sin. Even an impure thought, if allowed to fester, is a sin. There are many wonderful gay people in this world who love the idea of Christ. There are also some wonderful people in this world who just can't seem to put the alcohol down. Or stop gambling. Or fornicating. Etc. The problem arises, though, when one choses Christianity and then tries to tailor the faith around their lifestyle. Christianity does not make one gay; they would have had to be gay before they knew Christ... and so what steps has that individual gone through to try and change the sinful nature that we all had before we knew Jesus? We are all on a journey to become more Christ-like (or should be) but who said it was okay to uproot the very first institution created in scripture? Why try and limit the changing effects of Christ, when the bible challenges us to become completely new creatures?

…A Christian accepts that Christ was present when God created man and woman. A Christian accepts that Christ was present when God condemned homosexuality. A Christian accepts that Christ has been in lock step with everything done by God since before the foundations of this earth was laid down.

And a Christian knows that Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. I think that this grace period that we are living in has made humanity complacent... but the same Christ is going to be right there when it's time for judgement, passing down the sentence.

It was the ultimate insult to someone with your attitude to blacks.

That's why the other examples were Croats and Muslims, two more groups that give you the shivers.

But of course you already know this, dimwit !

Enough with your family pics, Cucko.
Nobody wants to see your granddaddy in his heyday.
Nah, Serbs have never had an issue with blacks. That was you projecting. It was only later that you introduced Croats and Muslims into the discussion in order to deflect.

You are a dirty racist.

Is this question directed at me, or are you just thinking to yourself?

It is always far more meaningful to challenge someone's ideas than to simply label them with a poorly defined term. It is always more productive to engage someone intelligently and open their minds ... than to group them with abusers, murderers, etc. and forever close them off to discussing the issue.

How far does MLK get if he just ran around calling everyone who didn't share his beliefs a 'racist'?
It is directed at people who see it important that those who choose to discriminate against and harass get the green light to do so.

He doesn’t get it, as far as he’s concerned, the bible is the only thing that matters & it’s message trumps everything, even if people interpreting it run the risk of causing real harm to vulnerable young people, he’s like Israel Folau, fundamental in his belief, these sinners need to be warned, he sees that as a legitimate message

Whereas people with half a brain see straight away that giving these nut jobs absolute religious freedom is just a green light to hurt, Harass & bully people that really don’t deserve it

Yes and no. I DO believe that the word of God trumps everything. After all, my belief is that we will be judged by him when this life is over.

But I DON'T believe that it is my -or Israel Folau's place to try and condemn someone else, thereby alienating others and closing them off to Christ... and the miraculous changing effects of the Holy Spirit. Humanity has proven, time and again, that we are truly not equipped to judge anything or anyone.

Remember the woman at the well? What was learned there?

No idea, I don’t follow the mumbo jumbo, don’t know anything about some bird at a well & dont care

The best thing you lot can do is just keep your religion to yourself, be private about it
I know you’re probably instructed to spread the word, that’s the church’s means to control as many people as possible

It’s funny, you see some out there being very overt, yelling & preaching & loudly telling people what to do, a bit like Folau
And then there are these churchies I see every Sunday morning down at the beach, they just stand there, being visible, they don’t approach anyone, they don’t make a racket, they have a mobile cart with a whole heap of books & pamphlets & presumably you can go to them & they’ll probably get you on board, I don’t have a problem with that, it’s not invasive

If you aren't a believer, of course you'd want Christians to keep their faith to themselves. This is contraindicated literally all throughout scripture, however, and so it does not matter how YOU think Christians ought to act.

That same family enjoying their time on a beach could be preparing a missions trip next month; you don't really know what these people are doing just because you happen to see them passing by and living their lives like actual human beings.

Nothing to do with if I’m a believer or not, you just don’t need anyone pushing anything onto you loudly in public, it’s annoying & intrusive

I don’t think you understand my second point
Picture little groups of well dressed people with shitloads of pamphlets standing around, not literally on the beach, but as people walk by or jog by or just goabout their lives, these people just stand there smiling, don’t say a word, they’re not a family, there are black people & white people, they’re obviously a church mob, but most importantly they aren’t annoying, nobody talks to them or acknowledges them, but they aren’t annoying

9 out of 10 respondents said it was the dick-in-the-arse aspect.
They didn’t mind pressed chinos or a lisp, but the old stump grinding is a bit of a sticking point for 47 percent of the population.

Being christians they probably wouldn’t realise that porn is one big anal gangbang

I just wanted to ask them wether hetero “up the bum no babies” is as bad as our jolly, happy, gay comprades giving it up the Cadbury canal for all its worth

Each of your points are exactly the same; if Christians aren't sharing their faith, you find them offensive. You can only see it from two separate extremes; either they are quiet and you don't know what they are... or they are loud, intrusive, annoying, etc. The reality is that most Christians live very normal lives and are generally very good about not being intrusive...

.... But understand that the only thing that can really be intrusive is if someone speaks truth INTO YOUR LIFE. If I'm standing around in a public place talking about gambling and you've never stepped foot into a casino, there's no real intrusion that has taken place. Momentary annoyance, perhaps, but you will likely go back to not caring what comes out of my mouth.
