Brit/Ire Ben Davison..

  • CHB will be closing down as of 31st July 2021. It's been a brilliant experience to run the website for the past 9 years, however it's time for me to move onto different projects. Thanks to every single person involved, from staff, former staff, posters old and current. All support means more than anyone knows. Thanks for your understanding.

I'm sure we haven't heard the last of Ben Davison and would not be surprised if at some point in the future he is one of the leading trainers in the UK.
I bloody would be. Roach was telling that man Fury could stop wilder and Davidson apparently knew better and instructed Fury to stand at mid-long range with a guy who only has a mid-long range shot

A lot of high profile uk coaches are on record saying Davison is very astute, a good reader of fights, and will make a very good coach.

I am sure Lee and Steward have also given him similar praise. (you would expect nothing less from two such class acts though).

Maybe he chose the wrong tactics for the first Wilder fight, but so did pretty much everyone. Hardly anyone was calling for Fury to walk him down before either fight.

He might also have overtrained Tyson. But you have to remember where Fury was health wise, and how inexperienced Davison was.

Being robbed of a victory away from home was a decent result.

I hope Ben Davison does not turn out to be another Lee Beard. And proves to be a trainer of greater substance with a more substantive career.
