I would imagine it'll be Michael Gove or Boris Johnson. Both are complete and utter cunts but both are better than Jacob Rees-Mogg.

Johnson and Mogg are either loved or hated. I think they are too polarizing to be leader.
Gove is a rat.
I've always thought a well spoken, older head like David Davis would steady the ship...
I like your last line my good friend.

Round and about
Rees-Mogg all the way for me. A proper old school conservative who holds the record for the longest word ever spoken on the floor of the House of Commons. Also a great filibusterer of progressive proposals such as same sex marriage etc.

He was my choice when Cameron went but he didn't even run. It could be he didn't want it, he's made noises to that effect. It could be he knew there was a succession plan being operated and decided not to waste his time again having lost to Cameron about a decade earlier. It could be he was/is still resentful at being passed over for a greasy chancer, non-Conservative Blair-clone in Cameron and was/is in "Fuck you, cunts" mode.

One thing is for sure, had he been appointed instead of May - who in addition to being another non-Conservative remainer is hugely incompetent and proved it in every job at every level in politics - we would be in the mess we are in now.

He may be a dark horse for the leadership but I fear that, once again, he isn't prepared to enter the race in the first place.

Had a few pennies on Steve Baker at 150/1 a few months back. He must be the only Tory MP that hasn't declared himself as a candidate yet!

I'm surprised that nobody from the ERG has declared yet.

For anyone who wants a genuine hard Brexit it's pretty much impossible to trust anyone who voted for May's deal. If they're prepared to surrender on that, there is no chance of them not blinking first when the EU refuse to budge.

Raab, Leadsom and Boris will therefore disappoint on hard Brexit.

I don't know if the rules have changed subsequent to Maggie getting blamed but Major wasn't in the first round of voting. He entered the second round after she dropped out.
