Gallagher is so desperate to get that Canelo payday, I hope Canelo strings Tesco Joe along for the foreseeable future...

This would be the first genuinely big world class super-middleweight Canelo has fought, he has an 8 inch (!!) bigger reach than Golovkin, who I believe to be quite past it, while obviously still a force at world class. Canelo has settled into a great little style and can switch nicely from offense from defence when required but while Golovkin did a lot of chasing and over reaching against Canelo leaving himself open to counters, Smith tends to be a bit more upright and compact but he does love a good fast counter of his own and would probably be planning to lure Canelo in close with the proposition of an open body and try to catch him with some quick hard counter hooks.

Fielding may have towered over Canelo too, but remember Fielding got took out by Smith in under a round, Smith has to make his size a factor here and I don't think Canelo will be able to just walk in and chop him up quite as easily as he did Fielding, who was over-awed from the start.

No idea what's financially fair for this fight. Not in the current circumstances.

That's a lot of money though, and he might get a separate deal on the UK ppv money on top.

Either way, it's a huge opportunity and a good fight.

I'll be happy watching Smith versus any of Canelo, BJS, Ryder, and Benavidez. Reckon Canelo is the more likely to happen of all those.

Anybody have any idea what weight Callum walks around out?

He appears to live the life, but is also huge at 168. 5 weeks isn't long for a camp of this magnitude.
