It's too bad that Smith never showed up.

And Canelo really didn't do fukall either. Just more than Smith, who refused to throw any serious punches.

What a snooze fest......

Canelo fought a great fight. And he tried his best to make it an actual fight. Quite difficult against an opponent whose sole goal is to avoid being KO'd. Had Smith been unafraid to mix it up he would've been starched.

Canelo looked average. He's a great fighter and has balls of steel, but if Smith had actually tried to win (I seriously don't think he was, so now here comes Canelo-Golovkin for Cinco De Mayo) he would have caused Canelo all sorts of pain. Smith seemed determined to not throw any straight punches, nor any fast jabs. With that kind of reach advantage, tell me how that makes any sense at all. If you've seen Smith fight before, then you know that wasn't him in there.

Professional boxing is what it is.

Canelo is a great fighter and made an average fighter look terrible as great fighters tend to do. How you could say Canelo giving up 5 inches and 10 inches in reach looked average stalking and beating the fuck out of a lightheavyweight is beyond me.

Wtf!? Wow. Rodriguez got robbed.
Oh good because I watched this fight with foreign commentary and they didn't show a commentator scorecard at all so at the end I had no idea how anyone apart from the judges saw it and I thought surely I haven't screwed up my scorecard here, I had that 117-111 for Rodriguez I was amazed a judge gave Gaballo 7 rounds and was interested to find out if anyone else saw it like that. The guy was punching air all night and following Rodriguez around, disgraceful decision would love to find a Rodriguez post-fight interview, if you saw it let me know what he said, I bet he was gracious though he should have been angrier than Yarde was that's for sure

Canelo put on a boxing clinic in that fight. I don't know what fight you were watching to come to that conclusion, but the only one not putting up a fight was Smith.

He was doing his absolute best to not get KO'd, and it worked. Canelo showed what a great defensive fighter he is with just slight head movements and parrying punches coming his way to avoid them and getting inside the much taller and way longer reach of Smith to land his own punches, and land them frequently.

You are obviously a big fan of Smith or you would not have made the posts you've made concerning this fight. Smith was totally outclassed by the smaller man, and only smaller in stature, not in talent.
