Former IBF and WBO heavyweight champion Chris Byrd, who hasn't fought since 2009, says he’s making a comeback at age 50 and he believes he can capture a middleweight title.

Byrd has a grey beard these days and looks fairly trim. Still can't see it ending well though.

Byrd probably needs the money maybe he thinks he can talk his way into a fight with Oscar De La Hoya.

He has outwaited George. Long retired. Plus he's ducking all the heavyweights. Oscar's the target if he's smart.
And if Oscar De Lahoya is smart he will fight Conor Mcgregor make the PPV money. I dont see him fighting a 50 year old Byrd. Dont see any PPV money in that.

Hell De La Hoya vs Malignaggi does better numbers.

Still makes me sad that he has a win over Vitali on his record, he was outclassed and would never actually stop him or beat him on points otherwise, freak victory via injury.

Hope he comes back and gets stretchered out, then retires again.

Byrd needs to be reminded of his last misadventure. That was a brutal Ko.

These ancient fighters put up the entire reputation on stake just to maintain their egos...someone needs to appreciate them for their take not his...then calm them down so they don't fuck up what they've achieved so far.
