Chris Eubank v James DeGale ITV PPV Feb 23rd

  • Latest update: Apologies for errors yesterday, due to php resource allocation needs configuring to suit the server, and can only do that when we know what's not working.

There should be no more errors now, but there might be a bit more configuring required. If you get any error 500's or other errors browsing, please send me a pm with your ip address, time of error (and your timezone if not uk), and the page you're trying to access.

Should be leading to some big performance increase and new features. Thanks to everyone for patience and support.

That video has had close to 200k views in less than two days. Prominent adverts for the fight during the Six Nations today, and other ITV programming for the past few weeks...

Could this PPV do better than most are expecting?
I think it will. I don;t think it'll come close to a SKY PPV but they have several channels including a sports channel to plug their shows. ITV only really has Corrie and whatever drama is on a Sunday night. No doubt that the rugby adverts will help.

It was confirmed earlier this week that the lightly regarded IBO title, a belt which Eubank has already held, will be on the line for the contest but DeGale has no interest in winning it.

“For me it is not recognised as one of the four major world titles,” he said. “Chris was very deluded when it came to carrying that belt around and calling himself a world champion.

“I once saw him walking around a central London nightclub with it wrapped round himself. He was in Libertine nightclub walking about with the IBO belt on, he was parading it around like he was the super-middleweight champion of the world, he is mad."

I read today how Degale is considering retiring after the Eubank fight. That doesn't exactly sell the fight to me...

Stiverene was talking a good game a month or two ago about how he's completely dedicated himself to the sport but I can't see it. He was never that good to begin with and Joyce will likely take him out inside 3 rounds.
