until a few weeks ago i worked in various covid testing sites, until i moved to the hotels it was fine and i liked it.

then i was in one of london's main covid hotels for 10 days, that shit is just a corrupt joke. 3 people do the testing (being trained completely wrong so it's all pointless) for 150 security staff getting £8.33 an hour just stand around then go to a canteen that is never cleaned, then faggitmanagers talk about the indian variant like it means something or they do something. i wasn't gonna be a part of that utter shit. less than 50 guests, over 200 staff? no fucking cleaning? wouldn't less staff be less risk? wouldn't worthwhile ppe and training for those guys be important?

1 hotel(the o2 intercontinental in greenwich) needs 150 security guards? getting paid that shit? no, it fucking doesn't, it's just corruption. clean the fucking cafeteria ffs.

i've been pretty behind the gov on their covid handling, previous working in a public walk in place was good and shit was done right, then i saw that totally unsafe bullshit hotel basically spreading it on purpose. what the fuck? not only was there not a cleaner, there were fucking soft tables that couldn't be cleaned anyway.

the quick test is 60% effective. if it is carried out properly, which it isn't being.

i left that job and company (g4s), it's just a corrupt fucking joke. if you need money they've got jobs, but u don't need it that bad.

what happened when 1 guy tested positive?(by a test that is 60% accurate).

he tested positive at 12:15, my team did our thing and cannot be criticised, give them a mail in test and send them home. at past 14:00 i came back from break and some faggit manager had given my guys a full beekeaper outfit and told him to do the pcr test onsite. fuck that, it was a fucking joke to the many hotel managers. my people aint taking that risk when it's not their job.

they had the 1 guy who failed the test, and 6 ppl he worked with (who passed the test) standing in the fucking car park in the fucking sun. by about 16:00 every faggot manager had vanished, the guy who was gonna get their bags had vanished, if i didn't give a fuck they would still be out there.

we got them water. fucking water, wtf? treating people like fucking lepers.

we finally got them their stuff and let them go home, not our fucking job and i did all the dangerous stuff, which wasn't dangerous because nobody had the flu, then i quit.

indian variant? it's bullshit and the gov is basically spreading it on purpose. close the fucking borders, actually test the people from countries with high rates, clean the fucking workplace of the massivley overstaffed bolox you put these people in. train the people testing all this bullshit. and clean shit, a dude with bleach is not fucking hard, especially when you got 150 useless(i liked them, but wtf could they ever stop? all they can do is catch and spread the fucking thing) non english speakers getting paid less than min wage to just stand around.

if i was gonna come up with a conspiracy to deliberatley spread a not that dangerous virus but make the gov look good, that stupidness exactly what i'd do. it's def not a conspiracy to spread a not very deadly virus btw, it's just corruption exploiting mass migration.

New cases are extremely low here in the US of A...as are deaths. Most positive cases are in unvaccinated people and almost all hospitalizations and deaths are in unvaccinated.

Speaking of which...a antivaxxers that I had somehow had on my Facebook page is now in a ICU

I get a chuckle out of going back and reading her posts talking about how minor the risk from covid is.

Most restrictions are now lifted in most states.

Basically everyone (at least out of adults) who really wanted a vaccine has had a chance to get one. Fortunately people who early on hesitated are now getting them...so the vaccination numbers are still slowly moving up.

13 states have now reached the Biden 4th of July goal of having at least 70% of the adult population having had at least one vaccination. My own state of Pennsylvania is around 74%. However it seems unlikely that the nation as a whole will quite make 70% by July 4th due to some of the conservative States and the heavy vaccine hesitancy in those places.

In other news...us recently had to toss out a few million j&j vaccines.

With demand low for vaccinations and supply now high for pfizer and Moderna most people seem to avoid the vaccine with the mild risk of blood clots.

So expect most future doses of J&J to get shipped overseas.

Glad I got mine when I did then.

29% of hospitalisations had both jabs
spike protein found in every organ at autopsy

nothing to see here
What's the source of that?

Because all of the sources I have seen show that breakthrough infections are a far lower percentage of the total.
