Crolla Vs Lomachenko - Terms Agreed for April 12 in LA

  • Latest update: Apologies for errors yesterday, due to php resource allocation needs configuring to suit the server, and can only do that when we know what's not working.

There should be no more errors now, but there might be a bit more configuring required. If you get any error 500's or other errors browsing, please send me a pm with your ip address, time of error (and your timezone if not uk), and the page you're trying to access.

Should be leading to some big performance increase and new features. Thanks to everyone for patience and support.

What a joke of a fight and waste of lomas prime
Pathetic bout. It might be one of the worst bouts an elite fighter has ever taken. It almost makes me want to see Loma lose, as it is utterly indefensible in every way.

Pretty shite this, Linares beat Crolla without really changing gear so Loma will box circles round him

I'm surprised he hasn't just dropped the belt. Seems like a guy intent on fighting the best and this fight is absolutely terrible.

Got to agree with everybody else, this really is a terrible fight.

For how good Lomachenko is, he doesn't really have a standout win on his record. He has beaten a lot of good and a couple of very good fighters (Russel Jr, Linares) but nothing defining for me. Rigondeaux is probably the most eye catching name but the weight difference does devalue that win

Nobody particularly happy after that fight.

  • Lou DiBella, who was a senior vice president at HBO, said WBC president Jose Sulaiman should be "embarrassed" for ranking Frazier #1. "It was disgraceful," DiBella said. "I'm sorry I had to put it on. It was mandatory. I can't tell Roy to give up his title. But the idea that Rick Frazier was #1 in the WBC and #3 in the WBA is ludicrous." Sulaiman later said, "I am embarrassed. I take full responsibility."
  • "It wasn't very satisfying," Jones said of his victory. "I don't pick these guys. He was the #1 contender. It's not my job to tell these people (sanctioning bodies) what to do."

would this be a career high pay day for crolla? got to be his last fight, great way to bow out. another star leaves matchroom/uk boxing though......
With the DAZN involvement and despite being the 'opponent', it's most likely his best payday.

I think he'll still continue on with his career after this fight, though.

I could be wrong, but I sense that he's a bit like Ricky Burns and that he just loves to fight. Although admittedly, Burns has a larger financial incentive to keep boxing after his legal battles with Warren...
