Former 4 time WBC cruiserweight champion Carlos De Leon passed away on new years day aged 60.

De Leon 53-8-1 was the first cruiserweight to win the title twice and increased it to 4 times.

Sad news. De Leon is probably best remembered for the Evander Holyfield loss and, from a UK perspective, being involved in one of the worst ever title fights with Johnny Nelson, but he had a great career.

RIP.

I live in a safe area in the scheme of what is happening now but there is the smell of smoke on a regular basis to remind us of what is going on elsewhere.
