Thread for the nay-sayers and non-believers. Uber scepticism, negativity, cantankerousness welcome.
Bash the shit out of this stupid thing called digital currencies.

Burden of proof is on the believers imo...

Nobody uses them for anything other than speculation, what else needs to be said.

I disagree. I think they are legitimate. The problem is governments shutting down exchange and shit. It's keeping people away.

Claiming every user is a criminal hiding money when there's trillions in tax evaded money offshore is a joke.

But even as a CC advocate I have to admit it's days are numbered.

i'm just kidding bro, not at all, Like ive always said I only put in what i can afford to lose:dance and I'm already up even in this market.
2 weeks ago I sold 200 Lisk coins which i bought for $2 for $35. Last week i was Airdropped 1000 free Ontology Network coins and sold for $3 each:hey Yeah free money I couldn't believe it. I put all that money back into crypto because yolo, It either makes me a million or it goes to zero. But what ever happens its been well worth the entertainment. I'm not worried one bit

This is for me then. The initial bitcoin rally was due to price manipulation, I don't see any intrinsic value that doesn't stop a company using their own form of blockchain. Alts are no different than penny stocks, penny stocks in the stock world are what "gurus" use to sucker people into buying and then dumping their shares. Seeing the crypto fans is like looking back on myself when I first got into trading.

Cryptos were a fuckin amazing gamble, man. Pure bubble. It was all about getting out at the right time, obvs. It was fuckin' brilliant fun too and a welcome departure from stocks. Plenty of people made unbelievable money. One in a generation, if not lifetime type shit, so good on them, man.

It still makes me laugh like fuck when you see people saying "I know it would crash"

Plenty of people made millions by starting a fake ICO. Cryptocurrency ICOs were scams worth billions in total.

What do you guys think about ICOs. I believe they are mostly scams. But is there a legit business that started with ICO?
ICO's are done. It was 2018 thing. Many were scams or BS and didn't comply with the rules and are securities. The SEC is hunting them down and forcing them to reimburse investors.
STO's are probably the next rage.

Legit business? Maybe VeChain (supply chain), but not sure if it had an ICO.
