Signed a three-fight deal with BKB. First bout will be in June:

A quote from Woodhouse (taken from BKB's Facebook page):

"I’m delighted to sign a 3 fight deal with BKB and can’t wait to get started, the buzz around this has really got me excited and I’ve watched the organisation go from strength to strength and I’m looking forward being a part of some great nights. I have a huge respect for everybody that steps into the ring to fight bare knuckle and it’s going to be a hell of a buzz when the fists start to fly! I’m hoping to fight often and regular and in my gloved boxing days I never backed down or dodged anybody and I’ll be taking the same attitude into my bare knuckle career. To win the British Title in gloved boxing was fantastic and my aim is to do the same as a bare knuckle fighter so whoever it is I need to go through to do it no problem, I’m here to fight”

Pretty much.....seems strange that CW , has managed to lose all of the goodwill that he rightly earned after his British title winning effort,(a remarkable achievement, given his late start on boxing).....i wish he had the sense to retire after that, he was unlikely ever to surpass such a comendable and unlikely achievement, sadly he like so many others , that have preceeded him , he seems unlikely to realise when he has reached his plateau and that his best days are now just a distant memory and there is a significant chance he will do serious harm to either to his or his opponents future health , by competing im this poorly regulated 'circus'.

It's a shame that Curtis has had to turn to this but I feel that he will always need that competitiveness in his life and imo if it wasn't this then he woful end up on teh unlicensed scene.

I just hate how they refer to it as 'gloved boxing', like they need to differentiate between the actual sport of boxing and this gypsy past time.

Comes down to the same old story. Not having a proper trade/profession & he wants to earn some decent cash. Just hope that he doesn't wind up seriously hurt.
This post really got me thinking. Reminds me of the Tyson Fury comeback. Obviously he's earned and will continue to earn so much money that he'll never have to do any shit like this but you've got to wonder what the fuck he's going to do when the boxing is truly over. If he got really bad depression from achieving his life's goal in his prime how the fuck is he going to cope when he's too old to fight at the level he once did.

As for Woodhouse it's a stupid move imo. If this was the American version of BKB, the one where it was boxing in a pit and lasted for 7X2 minute rounds I wouldn't have a problem but why the fuck would you risk the extra damage in this shit.

Wonder if Deakin is taking the journeyman route in bare knuckle as well?
According to BKB's website, he hasn't fought yet. But I doubt he'll have any success with this either.

Looking at their roster, it's surprising to see some of the names who've signed up. Martin Concepcion, Tyler Goodjohn, Lee Noble, Terry Carruthers, Hari Miles...
