I am so intrigued by the implicit rivalry rather than the explicit..Joyce and Jennings pushed eachother then laughed and shook hands, but these two guys have something to prove to eachother and themselves, you can tell, it's tense as fuck and I can't pick atm

Will be there tonight, my friend works @ O2 so my ticket cost me a cool £2.50. Looking forward to it, honestly have no idea whose going to win?

has ricky hatton had any great successes as a trainer yet? his agressive style is very mid 2000s, i saw more of that in gorman last night than gypsy slickness.
I thought Kiryl Relikh threw away the Burns fight by spending the mid rounds following Burns around walking into jabs. If he had been able to cut-off the ring or slip the jab he would've taken the fight for me.

At the time I put it down to a lack of big fight experience, but maybe a more savvy trainer would've been able to get him out of that pattern sooner. He certainly seemed to improve post Hatton.

I will be honest though, I haven't watched enough of Gorman or any other Hatton fighters to know what the cause is. It might just be that Hatton isn't getting/picking any top drawer talent.

Gorman for example really didn't look anything special to me. This was more Taylor - Davies than Groves - Degale imo.

Gorman is not a bad fighter at all, Dubois is just a level above no shame in that. The loss will make Gorman better, he will go back to the drawing board and iron out flaws in his style, the biggest being that he had no answer for Dubois' jab.

Dubois is a threat to anyone with his power, he is a natural puncher. He can fight for a world title and win it in the next 2 or 3 years with the right development in that time.

Have many, if any, elite level fighters made great coaches? It almost always seems to be the B/C level fighters who make the best coaches. Ricky Hatton never seemed like he would be a great coach just going off interviews and his tactic explanations.
