Mikey is the better fighter of the two but I'm not sure he can make much of a dent in Danny. They'll be a lot closer in size though.

Not sure about this. At this stage of his career Danny should be taking big money fights and/or huge legacy fights. Mikey hasn't proved to be an elite at welter, and he's hardly a big cash draw. So, from Danny's perspective, why bother?

And Mikey last time out got found out at welter: he's not big enough. After spending years in the wilderness it's as if he's said, fuck it, I'll take fights I'm too small for and have little chance of winning. It's almost as if he's given up on being "the man" and would rather be "the journey man".

Mikey just cashing out at this point. Hopefully he doesn't win, as it doesn't benefit the Welterweight division. It'll only boost his insistence on being on PPV and will likely demand Pacquiao for it.

Danny isn't yet into cash-grabs and is at least vying for #1 status at 147. And a win puts him forward as a strong candidate for Spence. That's a more meaningful matchup I wouldn't mind seeing.

The winner likely fights Spence or Porter who fight just a few weeks later. I honestly can't think of a better fight that sets up a title shot other than this. I can't name a higher payday for him other Pacman who probably never was an option.

Mikey has no business at WW he needs to strengthen his core because his midsection is soft. Danny just keeps getting better and better I expect a late TKO or for him to dominate Mikey down the stretch. The losses made Danny better he could be the top WW at the end of the day. Very sophisticated because he reads his opponents, left hook is deadly, he goes to the body, and gets a good read on opponents early on.

Harsh but fair: i'd go as far as to say Mikey is so shit scared of being made to look like a fool against Lomachenko that he'd rather get ko'd at higher weights than face the music.

I think that would be a great fight, a great mover with a fantastic range of punches and skills vs a basics perfectionist, I reckon this would be a great fight with both coming out winners as there would be no shame in losing, also would be the biggest pay day for anyone at that weight. It would be a really sad statement of where boxing’s at if you’re right.

Mikey had a dispute with Top Rank he even sued them they ended up settling it which is why he didnt fight for years, there is no way Arum would let Mikey vs Loma (one of Top Rank's biggest cash cows) happen in case Mikey wins, he would be messing up Arum who he sued Arum would never let that happen

Knowing that Loma was the only super fight for Mikey at them weights I think he just gave up and started cashing out against bigger guys, if Mikey was still in Top Rank Mikey vs Loma would have happened 100%

None of them are ducking but the fight will never happen

Mickey is at Welter when he should be bucking for a 140 bout with Loma.
