If Allen loses then I think he retires, he’s put the graft in to training and if it doesn’t pay off I’m not sure he’ll see the point in carrying on as he’d of reached his limit.

I definitely don't see him retiring, win or lose. What else can he do?? I see Dave as a hungry fighter who hasn't made a lot of money out of boxing. Lucas has presumably made more and is coming to the end of his career.
Allen admits he probably wouldn't have beat Browne at his peak, but thats not now. I think on Saturday we will see Allen in the shape of his life. He will have lost weight, but it might have been too much. From what Ive seen and heard I believe he will try and outspend Lucas, hoping to tire him out and finish him in the later rounds. He will also know Browne has a tendency to cut. This could well be an important factor, though if its too early it could spoil the fight, either way as Allen has been cut before.
Its a fascinating one. I like both boxers, want Allen to win but only slightly favour him to do so.

While this new found hunger of Allen’s is good it has only manifested for this fight, arguably the biggest of his career and he’s already talking about possible future title shots from this. If he loses I don’t see him keeping that same hunger and adopting a “what’s the point attitude?”, I really hope I’m wrong but this seems like his last real chance.

It could be but as said I don't think hell pack boxing in if he loses. Have a long lay off yes, maybe for the rest of the year but hell be back at a lower level. If he wins the possibilities are endless. Thats why if somebody put a gun to my head Id pick him to pull through.
But I said it on another forum I think theres a chance of an unsatisfactory ending due to a cut.

I really can’t believe Browne is 9/4 - 2/1 to win this fight outright and 6/1 on points. It’s a 50/50 fight, if I had to pick a favourite I’d lean towards Browne, the odds seem crazy.

I think you can partly attribute that to Browne being the travelling fighter.

Its due to Browne's last performance against Sokolowski, he got dropped and looked like shit (I've not seen it just going by what I've read). If he's completely shot and has a similar performance he'll lose but if he's got more left and took this fight seriously and trained he can win, same can be said for Dave as he fights like he's a lazy sparring partner at times. I wouldn't bet on this fight mate as there are too many ifs and buts.

That’s exactly why I’m betting, it’s a 50/50 fight and they’re offering 2/1. Allen has never ever looked good in a fight, his last fight was absolutely dreadful, if it wasn’t for his personality he wouldn’t be anywhere near match room shows but he’s really likeable. I want him to win but I’ll be betting against him so it’s almost win/win. Browne may not have looked great but Allen struggled with bracamonte, he didn’t even really show up in the first fight with lenroy and that was a HUGE opportunity for him.

Haha yeh I often bet against who I want to win. Allen isn't great but Sokolowski is terrible, after all this pressure Dave has put on himself you'd hope he puts in a career best performance. I get your point though and you'd be gutted if Browne won and you didn't bet on him. What would you rather happen between Dave winning the fight and you losing £20-40 or Browne win and you make some money?

In all honesty I’d rather have the cash. If you’d asked me a while back I’d say Allen no doubt but I kinda lost my patience with him not training properly and getting shots whist other boxers train their arses off. Glad to see him training somewhat properly for this fight and I’d be happy to see him win, I’ll probably be cheering him on, but I think yeah I’d rather have the cash.

Haha yeh that's fair enough, I'm sure he'd get another 167 chances while promising he's in the best shape of his life anyway so everyone's a winner.

I’m sick of Allen and his shite banter, he couldn’t win a commonwealth title from fucking Lenroy Thomas of all people. Now he’s top of the bill at the 02 by way of sucking Eddie Hearns dick. I hope Browne erases him.

Allen is going to win this I can feel it and then we are going to have to endure the bullshit for months and months, potentially even milking him to a PPV level once he's been cleverly manoeuvred.
