Adam Smith pushing his respect between the fighters agenda again. I don't think there has ever been a fight on Sky in which he hasn;'t banged on about it.

It's the fight itself is just warm up into the 'theres the respect!' story arc.
Belatedly just got the 'there's the respect' line in there. Standards slipping, Adam.

Kelly's defence is shit for the style he tries to employ and he's not too durable either it appears. Can't see him ever making it to world level.

Well done to the Russian, he's earned a new fan in me tonight. Should be in line for a title shot now.

before the fight Avanesyan was WBC#7, WBA#9, IBF#9 and WBO#10.

Would love for the lad to get a shot and payday from Terence Crawford...

Anyone see Kavaliauskas vs Avanesyan? Never watched it, but it looks impressive on paper that he managed to stop Avanesyan.

That'll be his LAST big payday. What about Ugas instead, he might have a chance to win at least. Crawford stops this guy just like Kavilauskis (forgive the spelling can't be arsed to look it up) who Crawford also smoked, best in the world bar none, Avanesyan no problem at all

I think Ugas is going straight in with Spence.
If not, then go for it.

Maybe he fights Crawford, loses then goes in with Kell Brook...

He has a compltely unique Conor McGregor esque transcendent understanding of movement... or maybe he just wastes a lot of energy looking for angles while getting slapped

Oh yeah yeah I saw that on here somewhere I think about them fighting next and that's easy to make too so it's more than likely going to happen so they can get Spence Jr the extra belt and then start offering bud 30% for undisputed although they'll be claiming he's undisputed anyway if they don't fight bud.

You're right though Avaneysan is due a world title fight now I mean even before tonight, it was only Kelly tonight he isn't anybody on the world scene so this won't make much difference to the negotiations, can't see anyone giving him a voluntary though as everyone wants PPV money these days but if he's at 7 in the WBC he should move up a bit now, it was only Kelly but it's another successful defence, I bet DSG is still hogging a space in the top 5 well if he is it's time he dropped now and made way for the Russian

Every time a British fighter loses the casuals on twitter are like..." Mate you need a new coach, you should go with Adam Booth.." lol.

I wonder who they are gonna be recommending to, Josh Kelly.

JK doesn't know how to fight on the inside using the shoulder roll. He needs to figure out how to get off his counters with the shoulder roll. He knows when to exit at the right times but once his opponent realises JK doesn't fire back on the inside, JK's in trouble with his high energy style.

........ cant see Josh Kelly doing anything significant after this. He is the new Frankie Gavin an overhyped amateur star not really cut out for the pro-ranks. Although Frankie was better skill wise then Kelly and worse discipline wise.

Mabye it’s because we have been starved of boxing but that was one of the best matchroom shows I’ve seen. 3 really good fights there may have been more but I only saw it from Robbie Davies jr onwards.

They should try resurrecting Manny Steward. He'd sort Josh Kelly out, Dynamito.
