Well got that wrong lol backed Kelly on points great win for Avanesyan so pleased for him bided his time with the cancelled fights hope they can do a co promotion agreement like Parker and get him on sky more often. Hope he gets a title shot.

I prob over thought Kelly my take was he had loads of time to prep and with Booth in your corner he would find a game plan.
Credit to Booth though he said last week he would throw in the towel and if his fighter is hurt he does the right thing. Perfect stoppage in my opinion.

Don't get the hate towards Kelly 12 fight and the types of opposition u look at Benn and yea just don't get it. Boxers can't win can they face low quality opposition they get slated. They fight high quality or similar and get panned and the career is over.

The comments I have read on twitter lol British boxing in crisis back to back to losses last night thats the quality I want for Saturday night fights.

Did anyone big on Avanesyan his odds were great before ring walk

They should try resurrecting Manny Steward. He'd sort Josh Kelly out, Dynamito.
I am not too sure if the casuals will know who Manny Steward was... The only established coach they seem to know is Adam Booth.

As for Steward he did not have too much effect on Naseem Hamed. I am not sure if he would have had much effect on a sometimes imitator of Naz in Josh Kelly.

Kelly needs to find his own style instead of trying to be some sort of hybrid of Naseem Hamed and Roy Jones jr.

Brendan Ingle was so influential in Naz's career.

Once Naseem Hamed cleared off from him and lost all his discipline his career was over.

I live down the road from the Wincobank Gym, St. Thomas' it's a glorious place. However Naz turned his back on that is an absolute mystery.

Having read the book; "The Paddy and The Prince." I can understand why the whole break up took place. But Naz lost his discipline a couple of years before he left the gym.

As far as Kelly goes, I think if he plans continuing to fight in the style he is; he should perhaps join Dominic Ingle and the WincoBank gym. Stylistically the best gym for him.

I personally think Adam Booth is way overrated because of his fan base amongst casuals. Good trainer but not any better then Joe Gallagher or Shane Mcguigan.

The fighters Booth does well with tend to have one big punch. Booth and Kelly not going to work. And major questions have to be asked on Matchroom and Booth for matching this hard on Kelly, the lad is hardly Lomachenko

Dont think Kelly has been matched any harder than many other fighters with his amateur pedigree. Yeah the Avanesyan fight might have come too soon, but he might never have been ready for the Russian. Luke Campbell was thrown in with Yvan Mendy when he had only a couple more fights than Kelly. Look how Joyce Joyce has been matched, James Degale etc. You expect an Olympian to be match hard around he has 10 fights or so.
