Think MTK will end up showing a lot more cards on Sky....

Its gonna be practically impossible for Hearn to juggle both Sky & DAZN going forward. How can he push a subscription service but the same time champion PPV on Sky? The conflict of interest is absolutely massive.

Hearn: “PPV is dead in the U.K. Kuggie, look what you can get with DAZN for £4.99 pm

Also Hearn: “AJ on Sky PPV for £24.95 is amazing value”

Not gonna work is it?

If Hearn has his way he’ll keep NXTGen on Sky and use it as a platform to promote his young stable before switching them to DAZN. Whether Sky let him do that or not is another matter
One things for certain, behind the scenes conversations between sky, dazone, Warren, mtk, matchroom will have been happening the instant dazone appeared in the US and Europe waving big checks around.

All the key people in these companies are elite level operators paid handsomely to forsee and react to situations like this. We are a bunch of nobody's on a forum doing it for free (with about 5% of the actual facts).

What are DAN's subscription numbers like in the US? How likely is it that they will be another Haymon and basically wave big money around acting Billy big bollocks while bleeding money and ending up going tits up? If DAZN is going to work long term they'll need either NBA or NFL in America and some Football rights in the UK and Europe. Otherwise I can't see it working.

A lot of the people on this forum are more intelligent than the likes of Barney Francis
What he has is psychopathetic tendancies and a bit of luck to make it into those positions

Were the "key people" at Setanta "elite level operators paid handsomely to forsee and react to situations"?

Honestly, I am not sure how I feel about this.

Yes a streaming service with a focus on boxing sounds great. I just think it's going to lead to further splintering of providers.

It's crap when you follow a sport and you need multiple channels and streaming providers to watch. Could easily end up needing to have Sky, BT, DAZN, Amazon, and god knows what else if you want to see all the fights.

It's great.

The only sport I really care about is boxing. I watch the occasional football or rugby match but I'm more than happy to stream that shit on a dodgy stream.

When I have to buy sky, sky sports package, sky PPV or replace sky with BT to see the big fights, that's bullshit.

I don't watch football, I don't watch any shows on sky I have streaming services with no ads and far better shows.

Also, 90% of my money is going to the premier League

If DAZN offers me a far cheaper alternative where my 90% of money goes into boxing I'm ALL FOR IT

If they're not too hasty on VPNs, it will be a fiver a month + 10 for a VPN set to Canada for EPL. That's pretty tidy if I'm honest.

I use Canadian DAZN via VPN atm. I pay a uni friend in Canada to get the account. I'm impressed with DAZN, tbh.
