Looks like we're going to have another network cold war. Dazn vs. ESPN seems to be coming up now. Used to be HBO vs. Showtime. Crazy how this all has changed. Who knew when Showtime/HBO were at their height that this would happen.

Doesn't look like he's going to DAZN, was offered 3 fights, $20 mill for Breazeale then 2 fights with Joshua for $40 mill each according to reports. But Finkel has said Breazeale fight won't be on DAZN now so looks like they rejected the $100 mill deal.

I know Wilder is an idiot and probably trying to freeze Joshua out again but I dont trust these "rematch" deals from Hearn

We all knew AJ was fighting Miller not Whyte but Hearn purposely offered Whyte a shitty deal with a rematch clause saying if Whyte wins AJ still gets the bigger purse, yes it is probably fair but he knew Whyte wasnt going to accept, Hearn purposely gives offers they wont accept, the rematch clauses are probably whats messing it up

It's only a shitty deal from the boxer on the short end of the stick which lets be honest unless Canelo moves up to heavyweight will never be Joshua.

People think beating Joshua, if that should happen somehow, means they deserve the bigger split in the rematch or 50/50 which is not how it's ever really worked. You think Mosely got more than De La Hoya in the rematch? You think Rahman got 50/50 in the rematch with Lewis? You think Fury was going to make 50/50 or the lions share in his rematch with Wlad? Nope he was getting 33% even though he won.

But now when it comes to Joshua unless Joshua is offering a reverse split of the first fight or 50/50 it's somehow a shit deal.

I know what you mean, just these heavyweights got such big ego's its obvious some deals they are not going to accept

Lets say Wilder and AJ somehow came to a deal between both promotions and it was like 60/40 to AJ and Wilder KO's him in 1 round, Wilder can then demand a 80/20 split for a rematch and theres nothing Hearn or AJ can do, they'd have to take it and try and win the belts back or AJ's stock would take a massive hit forever

Would only happen like that if there was no rematch clause and Hearn has stated quite clearly before he would never allow that. Whatever deal is made the split in the rematch would of already been decided.

As for some heavies ego's preventing them from accepting what is offered, that's really their problem for every Wilder or Whyte turning down record pay days there will always be a Parker, a Povetkin or a Miller willing to take the fight.

True, but AJ's is running out of opponents now, seems lile Fury, Wilder and Whyte might all go on ESPN and freeze him out

How can the winner being forced to agree to a smaller purse in a compulsory rematch be fair?

Wilder was being accused of being an idiot for rejecting all of Hearn's offers. Truth is he would have been an idiot to have accepted any of them. They look like chicken feed now and the fat lady hasn't sung yet.
