Wilder vs Ortiz is the same situation as Joshua vs Whyte, AJ and Wilder both got caught being overly aggressive and made one mistake, yes Wilder nearly got stopped and saved by the bell but so did Ortiz get saved by the bell earlier so I dont really see Ortiz or Whyte having a chance in rematches, Ortiz could have beat the opponents Whyte just faced aswell both abit pointlwss rematches

Seeing as though the Wilder/Fury/Joshua won't be fighting each other any time soon, I'm happy with this fight. First one was a cracker. Most people had Ortiz winning until the stoppage occured and seeing as though there were rumours of Ortiz not being 100% fit, Wilder may even feel he has a point to prove.

Looking forward to this.

In talks for September, in the 1st fight Ortiz got saved by the bell and then Wilder was stupid and walked into a counter being aggressive, Wilder should catch Ortiz again but finish him inside 6

 That is a very selective way of remembering the first encounter...

If an Ortiz victory was going to happen it would have happened in the first fight. Ortiz is the most accomplished boxer outside of Fury to fight Wilder but stylistically Ortiz struggles. Wilder is longer and fights reasonably well from a distance to throw off Ortiz and his short range counter puncher style. It won't end like the DB fight but it'll end nonetheless. Probably inside 8.

He was being outboxed rather comprehensively is the answer.
For 4 rounds and then caught Ortiz, Floyd was down like 5-0 against Maidana in the first fight its a 12 round fight, Ortiz blew his whole load before round 9

Christian Hammer said he is strong technically good, and a hard man to beat, nut he also said things like 'He is not as intimidating as they try to say, he's slower and he is definately not the best fighter I've fought'

Which version wins. Stiverne from Wilder II or Ortiz from Wilder II ? I bet Ortiz has the heart(Medication) to at least try and and show up and give it a good go for Deontays chin, so at least we may actually see a punch thrown in deontays direction.

Ortiz was seen as a very good match up and Wilder's biggest test. Then when Wilder beat him he was shit. Boxing logical at its most fanatical. Never give credit to fighters you don't like and just as importantly never give their opponents any credit either.

He was seen as a good match up because Wilders best win at that point was Stiverne...

I just realised something when Ortiz got knocked down the first time he got saved by the bell but he wasnt gassed then

Wilder was about to run to him and start windmilling Ortiz could have caught him like Breazeale did and how AJ just got caught, im actually excited now lol
