Would’ve preferred Whyte - Hunter.

Vast majority of people scored that fight to Hunter & Hunter keeps calling Whyte out get Whyte’s goes after Povetkin instead. Shame

Yeah because people actually know Povetkin. It's a fan friendly fight with a well known name that promises entertainment

Hunter is in the who needs him club, couldn't get past a guy AJ smashed a couple years ago, but awkward and hard to look good against, yet brings no value.

Next time hunter gets an opportunity he needs to actually take it because he won't get many

You’re right about Hunter not being a big name but let’s not pretend he didn’t take the opportunity, he went straight for Povetkin from the opening bell and even had him hurt early.

Yeah he started brightly then fell into plodding and got old manned by Povetkin for large portions. Povetkin is 40 and not long off being brutally ko'd. If you are a prospect you need to do better than hunter done to stay in the hunt.

Hunter takes every opportunity he gets doesn’t he? He’s stepped in at late notice on more than one occasion.

In most people’s eyes he did get past Povetkin as well, he can’t do anything about the judges.

Not sure what’s awkward about Hunter either, his heavyweight fights have been exciting. The Bakole & Povetkin fights in particular were brilliant

Is this why they gifted povetkin a draw against hunter? So they could wheel him out for another PPV? I thought he lost to hunter quite clearly, and took a lot of punishment. He is still tough but is well past it now and just a good name to have on a resume. I see whyte by stoppage in 7 rounds.

I don't have a problem with the idea Hunter nicked it by a point or two but it was hardly a clear win, Povetkin was lighting hunter up and battering him for considerable stretches.
