Yeh I saw the fight, it wasn't a great fight and it was close imo, I wouldn't argue with someone saying Jennings was ahead or someone saying Rivas was ahead. At the end of the day its a 12 round fight and Rivas won.

I would back Miller to beat him but that's if Miller's juiced up, not sure how good Miller is without PED's. Kownacki has no defence at all but that'd be 50-50 and a great fight, Ruiz isn't bad tbh but he's not even beat anyone as good as Jennings.

Whyte isn't a world champion, boxers don't need to earn a shot to fight him.
But if anyone beats Whyte they will get ranked high by the WBC so they do have ti kind of earn it and I Whyte is a biggish draw, beating Jennings who was good 4 years ago shouldnt get you a fight with a top 4 heavyweight when Jennings is barely top 20 anymore

Barry Hearn was fucking cringeworthy in that presser. Not only did he babble on with himself but he was talking about how they used to have fighters under slave contracts, and chuckling about guys like Dillian in the past "being slaves", but now he has to call Whyte "Mister".

It was like David Brent x10, absolutely no self awareness of how inappropriate and weird it seems to be joking about slaves with a black fighter you promote and then even referring to how you now use the old slave master term when addressing him.

I thought he was great.

I can't stand how the likes of Sky and Matchroom fuck sports up but I do like Barry, cringe factor and all.

Hmmmm. Lebedev vs Okolie was an interesting fight. Hopefully Chisora is in a good one - Charr? Bryan? Povetkin?

Not impressed with what I've seen of Rivas, Basic and sometimes crude but heavy flat track bully who falls in behind his shots. Can see Whyte left hooking him into oblivion somewhere in the late rounds as long as he's focused.

About three weeks out from the fight and ticket sales poor. Hearing only a few thousand of the 20,000 available have been sold.

Casual fans likely view Whyte as just an AJ victim sadly, maybe he should've took Hearn's lowball offer and the opportunity to spark Joshua...

Hope it sells and Whyte impresses.

Why do you think he was selected as an opponent?

Hugely outsized too.

Think Rivas is only 6' 0''.

Good to hear. Sounds like the public are seeing through the constant bullshit propaganda about Whyte

They’ve jacked the prices up for this fight massively, I’ve been to Whyte’s last two fights but not this one, really disappointing.
