Can we all agree that Tulsi might've just killed Kamala Harris' presidential campaign? That is a significant drop! Not only does she have to make it up, she has to fucking gain new support. I've never seen a debate ownage be so effective in terminating a campaign. This is some sick shit from Tulsi .

Fucking 42A, Human Resources Specialist, to the best of my knowledge when she was enlisted. She's an MP officer, which is somehow worse.
Definite POG. I knew she was military but had no idea what she actually did. Did she at least deploy overseas to somewhere that was near an active combar zone, or was she a Stateside REMF the whole time? That Congressman Ted Lieu aka Turd Lieuser always talks about his service too, implying he took risks for the USA... he is a fucking Colonel in the reserves for the Chair Force's JAG office.

She was on one of the biggest FOBs in Iraq and then Kuwait. I have underwear with more combat experience than her.

So? You still all 11b or nothing, huh? I had to get over that shit.
I have a problem with someone who saw combat on TV talking about her "service," how she knows war and it's hardship. I couldn't care less that Buttigieg was a Navy intelligence dude. He's honest about what he did. Tulsi joined the National Guard to check a box for her political career, counting on the fact that the overwhelming majority of the country won't know any better.

Still more service than most provide the country. Not knocking people for it. If it takes a POG talking about service to dial back a hunger for armed conflict, than sobeit.

Fair enough. I'm conflicted in that I know war sucks, but the peacetime Army might actually suck more, at least as a grunt.

That is my problem with Congressfag Turd Lieuser. He references his military service often, but I have never heard him go on to explain that he was a Chair Force lawyer that did not have a combat role. He leaves that out to allow people to think "combat vet". It is dishonesty by omission.

I served in USMC Infantry during peacetime and in combat. It can be OK during peacetime as long as you are in a unit that trains a lot. I would guess being a grunt in the Army would be similar.

It's this stupid jingoistic affection people have nowadays with the military. Politicians play that kind of game to further their career. They're all just regular people doing a job. No one is doing that shit for free, and oftentimes, it's a decision they make because they have nothing else. Same with other jobs that are statistically more dangerous than being in the military. But for ffs, I'm sure we don't tell commercial fishers or electricians, "Thank you for your service."

Literally none of the men I served with enjoy that. It makes me wildly uncomfortable.

That's what I've heard. All up to the unit you're in. Same as wartime, except you're not watching people die.
