Good afternoon @Rooq, not sure whether this thread is still active or not, but I thought I'd come in with two points:

1) To wish a Merry Christmas to one and all!
2) I have returned to the game this week, following a few changes to my diary here, but am stuck with my last username (Nimba Trails, from my time as Africa's #1 Boxing Promoter. Is it possible to have that changed back to Simon Templar, or am I Trails forever? Sorry to be a bore.

(My new promotion name is Return Of The Saint Promotions - Templar Promotions was unavailable, but I'm happy enough as Return).

Thank you & I hope that the game is continuing to thrive.

Thanks, I'm going to sign back up. I put a lot of time in to it a couple of year ago with my Eastern European Africans.
Yes, I am really enjoying being back, and Rooq has made a good few tweaks, all of which I like. I'm back in Argentina, where I first started out. Not sure I'm up for world domination, this time around, but I'm certainly hoping to rule South America. Come back, you'll be glad you did.

I had a few good Russians and a couple of decent African lads, never got anywhere near Russian domination never mind world. Couple of my Russian lads did ge world belts, but that was quick nipping in for vacant belts or weak belt holders my top guys could steal a 50/50 from. Did well in Europe with one or two and I remember one guy asking me top put my old Ukranian warhorse in for a world title tilt and he'd pay handsomely only for my guy to KO his early....it was the biggest upset I'd seen on the game which was awesome.

How is the game going at the moment in terms of player numbers?

I'm still somewhat regretful about not signing up, although I know how time-consuming the first game was!

It seems to have settled around or just under 100 or so players, which is less than I would have thought but does seem to be sufficient to keep it ticking over. This version is (even) more labour-intensive than the previous version, but is (even) more addictive. I actually stopped towards the end of last Summer, as my fighters had reached the top level and it was just becoming the same old cliquey politics up there, but I rejoined over Christmas, have specialised in one region, and am having good fun establishing myself as a regional power. I simply stay out of the top end. The game overall has much more balance than previous versions, imho. But you're not too late to join, far from it, I'm a noob I this incarnation yet am now the #46 promoter. So come on in, the water's lovely!

Is this still the second version? I think I was in the top 3 promoters when I gave up coz it wouldn’t go through the firewall so I could play it at work

No idea sorry, probably - although various things have been added to it feels quite different. Tournaments are in the game, now, and AI will fill up entries, so they have added something.

C'mon in and have a go!

I'd be interested to get feedback on new player experiences to try keep retention. I have made it a bit "easier" for new low rep promoters.

PS first time on CHB for an age. Stopped coming as the site was taking a long time to load but seems ok now. :)
