Eddie still has his shows listed, refusing to postpone anything... won't combine the shows... still trying to get them on which would mean booking ambulances and a lot of medical staff.

Seriously though, that is a good thing to do. I have seen football clubs doing similar offers.

If you want to be crass you could argue that their are financial and commercial reasons this is a good move for Matchroom, (and for making it public).

That's partly the reason any business does charitable work, but often the people at the top do realise how lucky they are, and just want to give a little back.

I am happy to take this at face value, and say well done Eddie.

But he hasn't has he. Don't underestimate the mind of someone like Hearn or Mike Ashley, they will go to any lengths to make money. In his mind he is still thinking he can find a way to get this show on may 2nd, to make a few quid out of it. If he was resigned to having to cancel he would do it, he wouldn't have the fighters out spending money on training camps and sparring etc if he didn't think he could get this fight on. No doubt he is working now seeing if he can get emergency medical staff and ambulances for his show

Once again you are assigning malevolent motives to him which goes against evrything he is saying, he is simply a business owner trying to keep his business and his employees afloat. Yes it is optimisitic not to have cancelled the May shows already but he almost says he will be but he is leaving at long as he can. Cancelling each show cost tens if not hundreds of thousands of pounds, would you not wait until you absolutely had too?
