I'm on the fence with this. I like the idea of getting good fights on regularly if he can do that. But really the last thing I want to do is pay more money for boxing. You still got to have HBO and Showtime too and PPV's for all the other fights too. I don't know if this will go over so well in America really. But I will be optimistic and hope it does well and maybe it will be worth the money.
I'm excited by this new deal from Eddie, but by no means does it mean he's gonna' clean up the market. The likes of Showtime, ESPN and HBO (and other US promoters) who have been in the US boxing business for decades, aren't gonna' lay down just like that. And it would be naive to assume they don't have the foresight that Eddie/Perform appear to have (on digital viewing). Every major network on the planet -- be it for sports, movies, news, general TV -- recognises the move towards digital on-the-go.
No, right I think you'll find. None of those last 12 months.
You don't get episodes of football or hockey that last as long as a year, you get seasons.
Why is it even such a big deal to you? And how familiar even are you with the WBSS? Cos it looks like you've only just discovered there even is a season 2! You should write to Comosa AG, see if they'll change it for you, maybe they'll let you redesign the Ali Trophy!
