Delighted he has finally got away from Hatton. Hatton never really gave a fuck about Browne. He got to the WBA 'Regular' title despite Hatton not because of him.
Not sure why Browne would wait until March for a warmup fight when he was scheduled to meet Allen in mid April though?
Little probably won't pose Browne too many problems, but it would only take a head clash and a resultant busted eye to put the Allen fight in jeopardy.
DB I think you are an Australian. As such you know Lucas doesn't NEED a head clash to get a cut. I hadn't got as far as your post before thinking this. I was about to say if he boxes Tom in March he will NOT be fighting in April. Even at his best, where Id say he would stop Tom, he would probably get cut. Ive seen a lot of his fights and he's been cut in nearly all of them. My guess is if Dave is to be the opponent BOTH of them will have their first fights of the year in April. And its possibly 50 50. Good fight. I like Lucas but would want Dave to beat him.
However to do this, even against a past best Browne,he would need to train like hell.
Browne turned up in poor shape against Whyte and put in a shocker. It is his only loss though and if he turns up in shape he beats Little confortably IMO.
But Browne would need more than a month from Little to his next fight.
I read earlier that the Commonwealth will be on the line when Joyce meets Stiverne so I wonder what spurious 'Regional' title they will attach to this ....
I always thought it was an odd pairing, they were on opposite sides of the globe, Hatton had no real track record as a manager/trainer and given all the publicity about Hattons out of ring woes, would you have signed with him?

Lucas Browne says he will be fighting Kamil Sokolowski on March 2nd in Scotland followed by Dave Allen. The Allen fight is likely to be at the O2 on April 20th.
Yeah, I don't know what they're messing around with Sokolowski for -- they could've got an easy knock-over job instead.
Plus it's not even on the Sky show which is on the same night, so it's not even advertising the Allen-Browne fight. All seems like an unnecessary risk.
