I have not seen it posted anywhere here goes.
Hearn has replaced Shane Warne as the king of spin. For those cant be bothered to watch here is a summary.
(1) Training preparation was fine all the rumours are fake news...Joshua may have subconciously underestimated Ruiz though.
(2) Joshuas Dad was upset at the defeat and was having a go at everybody on AJs team...main things he was upset about was the stoppage.. The house Joshua rented in NY and the Chef?????...It had nothing to do with AJ's preparation.
(3) For a guy who loves to throw numbers around and negotiate contracts via the media.
Refused to discuss the terms of the rematch clause in the contract...or how much Ruiz will get paid, or if the location for the rematch is in the contract.
Said you should know and use your own common sense..about what the rematch terms would be when a high profile champ and superstar makes a voluntary defence..and loses.
Basically from what I can tell is Joshua will get the bulk of the paycheck in the rematch.
Hearn does not want the social media backlash as to why AJ is getting the higher purse..instead of the guy who just defeated him...or at the very least as to why Ruiz is not getting a 50/50 split.
refused to discuss the location for rematch but after a bit of badgering claimed AJ would like rematch back in NY...but he was adamant the rematch should take place in U.K.
Not sure what to make of this .I presume If the location of rematch was not in the contract...Then team Ruiz might have some wriggle room , I presume Uncle Al Haymon is gonna demand a higher purse for coming to the U.K.... In that case fight ends up back in America , Hearn will then spin that as being AJ's choice and label it as a brave decision by AJ for going back to the USA.
(4) Is very puzzled as to the social media backlash negative comments directed at AJ who is a lovely person...!
And also the backlash at Kathy Taylor for becoming undisputed champion...Hearn claims he scored that a draw.
(5) Did mention that Andy Ruiz should be given credit for his win instead of people analysing via AJ lost.
Well Hearn also stated that the biggest fight in Boxing right now...is the AJ vs Ruiz re-match. Hearn probably just getting started...and warmed up with the spin along with sky sports the marketing for the rematch is going to be in a different leauge.Hearn has replaced Shane Warne as the king of spin.
Hes forgotten more about boxing than I know, but really? You don't beat fighters like wlad, povetkin and Parker on pure athleticism.Dave Allen interview in the aftermath of the AJ...fight he accused AJ of quitting. He was the first also to raise the issue of AJ perhaps getting battered in sparring....states AJ perhaps needs to make changes and replace Mccracken. Said he has not seen any technical improvements in AJ over last few years..That AJ has been winning on his pure physicality and athleticism.
Just get behind your own. It makes me sick that people want to jump onto the AJ bashing when he's performed for GB, back your own man. Here is a guy who has given you the best and biggests fights for the price of a takeaway, right on your own doorstep. One of the two flags he waves around the ring is the GB one, the flag of this great nation, built upon supporting our own. These people who want to jump on him now are just living in their mums basement wanking themselves off because they have no life. Step outside, get a bit of sun and back the guy who gives back to the people when he's in between private jets and rented NY mansions. Just think - what would AJ do.
Great quote about success and failure, AJ stole it from Drake...and this Drake guy stole it from Ziad K Abdel nour a Lebanese Author and financier. What would AJ do? say the following...
"Never let success get to your head never let failure get to your heart"
Povetkin was off the drugs, Wlad was over the hill and Parker was overratedHes forgotten more about boxing than I know, but really? You don't beat fighters like wlad, povetkin and Parker on pure athleticism.
Aj has one of the best resumes in the division. By far tge best if you include his am record. Styles makes fights though and ruiz beat the bollocks out of him.
Doesn't need overthinking, ruiz is better than him.
You are right about the contract and the rematch clause. Why would last minute replacement Ruiz have received anything conditions-wise better then Whyte turned down?If imagine ruiz has agreed to a set fee rather than a split and you can bet its a long long way from what Joshua will be getting. It's probably a number you'd look at prior to the first fight and think fuck that's a lot of money, then post fight when you've realised how big the rematch is, you'll be pissed you agreed to it. Whyte turned down the fight because of what would have been in the contract should he win, and id bet ruiz accepted far worse terms. People might disagree but I think this fight does just as well as the wilder fight would have, at least in the uk
I wonder what the reason is that he wouldnt categorically confirm his reading of the details?Hilarious how he didn't want to talk contracts and numbers after his behavior for the past two years..
