there where several leftwing terror groups in europe back then but these guys where paid by extreme right high ranking people

prob at level of goverment, military generals and the top of the secret service
That makes the most sense but it's strange how it's been kept quite for so long considering the brutality of the crimes.

Really weird crime(s) that don't get enough attention in the unsolved mystery / conspiracy community.

Perfect for a Netflix type investigative series.

Let us know again when you've got a few more episodes in. Fancy watching it but I've got several shows to pick from and free time becoming limited.
Four episodes in. Two to go. Well worth watching. Puts you on both sides. "Fuck the FBI, but I like the lead negotiator", and "fuck David Koresh, but his second in command doesn't seem like a bad guy."

Very watchable miniseries. Tim Riggins is superb, in four episodes he's only had one scene where he goes full wild-eyed, yelling, foaming at the mouth cult leader. Usually he plays Koresh as being quiet, soft spoken, friendly and intense. When he has to deliver a big end of episode line, he nails it. The supporting cast is great too.

Certainly one of the most watchable and high quality true crime dramatisations I've seen. Even the missus is right into it and asked if she could watch the next one while I slept ahead of work.

If you know a bit of it then it’s no wonder it’s kept a secret.
There was also a big pedo ring
They grabbed the people who obducted the children but not some of the abusers
Rumors has it they where royalty members and high ranking politicians.

mits quite a corrupt country

Floodlights illuminate the Waco compound during the siege. The FBI used these floodlights, combined with huge speakers playing loud noises on repeat (dentist drills, rabbits screaming, things like that) to prevent the cultists from sleeping.

Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh outside the Branch Davidian compound at Waco. He showed up during the siege to hang out and sell anti-government, pro-gun bumper stickers. At this point, he was living on a farm with co-conspirators Terry Nichols and Michael Fortier. Nichols was teaching him how to make explosives out of household and farming chemicals. The Waco fire is what really sent McVeigh over the edge. He started actively planning and preparing for the Oklahoma truck bomb shortly after, and many times stated that the bombing was revenge for Waco. Surviving Branch Davidians thought he was a dick for doing it, though.

Anyway, here he is at Waco during the siege.

He also wrote a couple of letters to his hometown newspaper a couple of years before the bombing. I couldn't find an image, but here is a sample of the text:

"AMERICA IS IN SERIOUS DECLINE," he stated in a letter on Feb. 11, 1992, to his hometown newspaper in Lockport, N.Y.

"Is a Civil War imminent? Do we have to shed blood to reform the current system? I hope it doesn't come to that! But it might."

His sister, who had the hot alternative-'90s-chick style nailed down, was also a letter-writing right wing conspiracy nut who had foreknowledge that he was going to do something violent. He sent letters to her which she burned on his instructions. She also testified at his trial that his letters told her that "something big was going to happen" in April, and that he had moved from "the propaganda phase, to the action phase." So yeah...... she didn't know specifically that he was going to bomb the Murrah building on April 19. But she knew he was going to do something, and when she turned on her TV on April 19 - the second anniversary of the Waco fire - she would have known what it was.

Not sure if this has been posted.

Guy went to his doctor after an accident to help ease the pain he still had. Sadly for him he gave him what was basically pure radiation.

"When Byers fell and hurt his arm in 1927, he was prescribed Radithor, a radium-infused elixir sold by a quack doctor named William Bailey. Radithor was supposed to alleviate aches, pains, and even invigorate one sexually. Yet what happened to Byers fell far afield of the positive effects Radithor was supposed to have. Instead, after three years of incessant use, Byers began rotting from the inside. His teeth fell out; his jaw had to be removed; holes formed in his brain and skull; and he eventually perished in 1932 from radium poisoning. Like the ill-fated Radium Girls before him, Byers demonstrated the clear and unequivocal bodily evidence that exposure to radium was lethal. "

Interesting read, but I'm not sure that photo is actually Eben Byers. I'd always read that it's of a war veteran who either was shot in the face or had a grenade blow up in his mouth. The photo has also been used in public safety ads warning people to use seatbelts, even though there's dispute over whether the person's injuries were actually sustained in a car accident.

Having said that, this photo reportedly is of a person who developed a tumor in their jaw from long-term radium exposure:

I’m not calling bullshit on the Eben Byers thing because the story seems feasible, but I’d have thought you’d see huge internal damage of the stomach, bowels, kidneys, bladder, etc, before your jaw fell off from drinking radium.

The guy that was selling the shit died of bladder cancer. Said he drank more of the stuff than Byers did. According to the article when they dug him up his body was still hot with radiation.

Yeah, that’s what I’d have expected. That radiation would have a lot more contact time with your internal organs than your mouth. Strange that Byers suffered a different fate tbh.

There used to be a company tha would make glow at night watches using radium. The workers would hold pieces int their mouths and a lot of them developed jaw cancer. I think they sued and barely won anything. Don't have time to fact check right now.

Yeah, that was "the Radium Girls." Radium was actually a popular ingredient in a lot of products for a brief time, before people understood what its effects were.
