Eerie/creepy photos. **UPDATED** - Colourized vintage crime scene photos.

What's weird (but good) about this thread is that I often look up more information on photos on here, even when I have seen them before and for some reason not bothered to. This is a prime example. Just found out that the guy who shot him in the famous image eventually fled to the US and lived there until his death. The US tried to deport him after it was deemed that he had committed a war crime, but Jimmy Carter stopped it, saying it was revisionism and the guy stayed in Virginia until his death in 1998.

Another interesting thing is that we look at such an image and immediately feel sympathy for the man being killed, and view the shooter as brutal, but it was a bloody, brutal war and apparently the man being killed had just been caught having himself killed South Vietnamese officer...only the difference being he then slit the throat of the officer's wife, 6 children and 80 year old mother.

Makes you see him a bit differently.
Well in that case, no fucks are given for that guy getting his brains blown out.

The Green Man

Raymond Robinson
(October 29, 1910 – June 11, 1985) was a severely disfigured man whose years of nighttime walks made him into a figure of urban legend in western Pennsylvania. Robinson was so badly injured in a childhood electrical accident that he could not go out in public without fear of creating a panic, so he went for long walks at night. Local tourists would drive along his road in hopes of meeting The Green Man or Charlie No-Face. They passed on tales about him to their children and grandchildren, and people raised on these tales are sometimes surprised to discover that he was a real person who was liked by his family and neighbours.

6924

Robinson was nine years old when he was injured by an electrical line as he climbed a pole and reached for a bird's nest on the Morado Bridge, outside of Beaver Falls. The bridge carried a trolley and had electrical linesof both 1,200 V and 22,000 V, which had killed another boy less than a year earlier. Robinson survived, defying doctors' expectations, but he was severely disfigured: he lost his eyes, nose, and right arm.

Robinson lived in Koppel and spent his days at home with relatives, making doormats, wallets, and belts to sell. Because of his appearance, he rarely ventured out during the day. However, at night, he went for long walks on a quiet stretch of State Route 351, feeling his way along with a walking stick. Groups of locals regularly gathered to search for him walking along the road. Robinson usually hid from his curious neighbors, but would sometimes exchange a short conversation or a photograph for beer or cigarettes. Some were friendly, others cruel, but none of his encounters deterred Robinson from his nightly walks. He was struck by cars more than once. He stopped his walks during the last years of his life, and retired to the Beaver County Geriatric Center, where he died in 1985 at the age of 74.

Robinson became a local myth in the Pennsylvania area, and his real story was obscured by urban legend. In the stories, he is the "Green Man", and as a boy, he wanted to see into a bird's nest so he climbed an electric pole and managed to shock himself. He fell to the ground and lost his eyes, nose, mouth, one ear, and one arm. The story states that when he grew older, he hid in an abandoned house. The famed nickname of "Green Man" came from his skin, which was purported to be green because of the electrical shock he suffered in the stories. Through several generations, Robinson's story has been passed on so many times that his name and his real history have been overshadowed by the ghost story that grew out of them.

Not sure if this qualifies as creepy but really sad in both the substance and how it shows massively unrealistic hopes.

In order to get a "child" on these postings you need to have a sponsoring person (police departments will as well....but they definitely didn't here).

Most likely parents who put this in...Parents who would be late 70s or 80s.

For a child who almost certainly was long ago raped and killed....

This is the day Phnom Penh fell to the Khmer Rouge, this was the end of a brutal war but the start of an awful, pointless genocide. I was there that day, a very young boy, I remember watching this from the fifth floor apartment in my family’s compound. Our cook , my nanny, ended up murdered after we fled back to Australia.

So the next time you feel like maybe you're a pathetic loser who has ruined his life and has nothing going for him...... well...... at least you aren't this guy.

(Long post coming)

From the WaPo:

Grant Amato had a problem, and it was ripping his family apart.
Outside the walls of his family’s well-manicured home in a rural area northeast of Orlando, the 29-year-old could have been mistaken for another luckless young man surfing through a bad patch — lost his job, kicked out of school, living at home.
But inside the house, Amato was gobbling up whatever money he could steal. He lifted $150,000 from his parents, Chad and Margaret. His brother Cody lost $60,000; when that was gone, Amato stole his brother’s guns and sold them. Amato even took out a $65,000 loan on the house.

(end of WaPo article)

Where did the $200,000 plus that he stole from his family go to?

To this lovely lady.

Who, to be fair, is smoking hot.

But she's a Bulgarian cam girl. This sad sack of shit sent her more than $200k of his parents and brothers money in a little more than three months! :rofl

Anyway, his family knew what was going on, and wasn't impressed.

They had a family meeting about it. Imagine the shame of being 29 years old, unemployed, and having a family meeting (including your brother) about how you gotta stop stealing your parents' retirement savings and giving them to Eastern European cam whores, or your folks will kick you out of their house. :rofl:patsch

Oh yeah, and he was unemployed because he'd been caught stealing narcotics at his previous job (as a nurse) and giving them to patients without authorisation. And that little escapade also got him kicked out of anesthesiologist school, which is a pretty good (and lucrative) trade. :patsch

Anyway, one of his parent's conditions for continuing to live with them (as well as not being in contact with Sylvie, obviously) was that he go do a 60 day stay in a porn addicts rehab facility.

He walked out after two weeks, and returned to the family home.

After returning home, his father presented Amato with a two-page list of rules he was required to follow if he wanted to continue living at home.

One of the conditions was that he cease all communication with the Bulgarian woman. According to the eventual arrest affidavit, Amato would later explain to police that he agreed, “but he didn’t think they were fair because he felt that the Bulgarian female was his girlfriend and they had a relationship.” He had been telling her that he was a multi-millionaire, but then his family reached out to her and told her the truth.

Shortly thereafter, his father caught him talking to Sylvie again on Twitter. So his dad kicked him out of the house, apparently for good this time. And fair enough.

That evening, Grant Amato returned and shot his father, mother and brother dead, execution-style. He then pathetically tried to make it look like a murder-suicide carried out by his brother.

(Spoiler - nobody fell for that.)

After executing his parents and brother, he then went to a public WiFi area, withdrew $600 from his brother's account, and sent it to Sylvie. He used the fingerprint from his brother's corpse to pass the iPhone biometric and access the bank accounts.

So the cops found him and brought him in to interview him, and he did a disgracefully piss poor job of claiming that he had nothing to do with it.

So anyway, the jury gave him life with no possibility of parole for the 3 murders. The death penalty was on the table, but the jury came back with life with no parole instead. Apparently out of pity for what a pathetic loser he is.

And now Grant Amato and his weird alien-shaped skull has 30, 40, maybe 50 years to sit in a concrete cell and think about life choices, and also get used as a toilet brush by any inmate with the physique of an average 16 year old.

So the next time you're a bit down or depressed or miserable about things maybe not going as well as you planned..... hey, buck up, mate! At least you're not Grant Amato. :good

Here's a PDF of the affadavit the cops wrote up after they scooped Amato up, if anyone is interested. Honestly, it actually offends me a little bit, what a shit job this asshole did of trying to get away with it.

Any appetite for more long form stories like this? Obviously image galleries are the bread and butter of this thread, but I don't see any harm in mixing it up a bit every once in awhile. This one is so bizarre that I thought it was worth typing it up. There's a bunch of images of documents that I can't post because they're behind a paywall at the Orlando Sentinel and I've maxed out my free articles, or because I can't find a link to an image hosted on another site.

Which is a shame, because the list of rules his father wrote down for him is online, as is a letter he wrote to Sylvie and the porn freaks group that worshipped her, apologising for lying about being a rich pro gamer when really he's an unemployed sad sack loser stealing money from his parents.

And the truth of the matter is that Sylvie gave ZERO FUCKS about this loser, even when the money was rolling in from him. These twitter whores, insta whores, etc. are just like the local pole dancing stripper, they don't care about you to start with and care even less when the money runs out.

Thing is he could have gone Tijuana and had pussy on a plate cheaply. Like, the real thing, and cheaper than online porn. Human's really can be thick as shit sometimes it baffles me what goes through their minds.

Apparently the FBI reached out to her and she ignored them.

She never returned any of the money.

After the murders, a GoFundMe account was created to help the other surviving brother (not Grant ) with funeral and medical expenses.

It raised $22k and met its goal, which is fair enough.

$0.00 of the donations came from Bulgaria.

She is hot, though. Not "$200k of your parent's life savings and you wipe out half your family and still never even touch her" hot, but certainly would not kick her out for eating potato chips in bed.

I'm not surprised by her silence or refusal to return any money she got from this dipshit.

I searched on-line and read a bit about his being in jail awaiting trial and his "creative" ways to trying to get bail money in the amount of $750K. For the life of me I can't imagine any judge even setting bail for a charge of triple homicide.

Talk about a guy in serious denial and having delusional ideas of what's right and wrong---not that it wasn't already apparent with the murders of this parents and brother.

Glad his half brother got funds to help bury his family. I hope that POS has a long life in prison and lives to be 100.

Eh...I realize this is gonna come off as a "elbows too pointy" type statement...

But...the two pics you showed...the first one looks kinda like a cross dresser...not tranny... cross dresser.

Second one looks more feminine but she has that old lady neck wrinkle situation going.

Both pictures are heavily filtered....

Here's a Christmas card she sent him. I had to learn Bulgarian to find this shit for you guys. :bart

(Well, go to a Bulgarian news site and scroll around for pictures, at least)

"Merry Christmas, Grant!

Christmas is a time for cherishing those who bring so many blessings to our lives. You are one of mine.

May the lights of Christmas be your guide, because you are my light.

Believe in the magic of Christmas, because you are my superhero.

May your New Year be bright and happy, even more successful and filled with unforgettable moments. And I will be right here to share it with you.

With love,

Silvira."

And here's just a little bit of the 2 page list of rules his dad wrote up for him.
