Eleider Alvarez vs Sergey Kovalev II RBR

  • Latest update: Apologies for errors yesterday, due to php resource allocation needs configuring to suit the server, and can only do that when we know what's not working.

There should be no more errors now, but there might be a bit more configuring required. If you get any error 500's or other errors browsing, please send me a pm with your ip address, time of error (and your timezone if not uk), and the page you're trying to access.

Should be leading to some big performance increase and new features. Thanks to everyone for patience and support.

I think Kovalev stops him this time. I think the odds are closer because Kovalev might actually be training this time, I hope. I think that was quite the performance for a half-trained Kovalev to be outboxing Alvarez until he got stopped. Who knows how this one goes, though.

Good point.

It's all about where Kovalev's head is at, these days.

Who's training him these days? And do we know if he's actually taking direction, or just doing his own thing, as in the past?

Buddy "Drink some water, baby" McGirt is his trainer for this fight. Not exactly the most inspiring choice...

Interesting fight! Anything can happen in this one although I'd be surprised if Kovalev won by KO.

Kovalev actually looks good, better than their first fight weigh in

Kovalev: "McGirt Has Made Me Focus On Boxing Not Knockouts"

If Kovalev starts trying to box hes going to get destroyed, he landed some bombs on Alvarez but Alvarez took them so if Kovalev tries to box Alvarez will end up catching him, Kovalev cant fight for 12 rounds

:rolleyes I KNEW this was going to happen... McGirt always forces his fighters to change their styles. :patsch
I was watching the fight again and when Kovalev was landing on Alvarez, Alvarez started taunting him and then Kovalev landed a few more times so I was thinking I cant rule out a Kovalev KO, but now Kovalev is going to box hes fucked lol Alvarez will walk him down and Kovalev will still gas

As if boxing hasn't been marginalized enough, the lamebrains at ESPN decide to stage the main event likely around 1 AM EST. A big fook you to east coast & older fans, both demographics that include me. I've stayed up late for many a fight but this is ridiculous. Fantasizing about Fat Dan exploding & ESPN suits perishing in the blast.

Hopefully Alvarez marginalizes Kovalev & wipes that smirk off his face.

Yeah, think I'll be recording this one -- and I usually stay up for every fight. Ridiculous start time.

The fight takes place in Texas so 1 am est is normal isn't it? Can't let the main event start at 8pm local time.

This fight is also being aired exclusively on the ESPN app, correct? Another "F you" to the older fans as well (and yes, that includes me too).

Actually, they can and typically do. Fights from Texas and farther west air on TV all the time, and they usually start at "early" times in those regions to accommodate folks farther east.

Having said that, it appears that the real issue is that ESPN is giving its "primetime" TV spot to the Oscar Valdez fight, and is relegating the Kovalev fight to after midnight to accommodate it.

I think Kovalev is going to get sparked out, his head and heart is not in it anymore.
