Absolutely mind-blowing time-lapse by the same photographer of F9's trajectory.

First F9 engines light up night beach then the cloud they go through, then once above atmosphere, engine plume expands like a jellyfish in vacuum, illuminated by the Sun beams. It looks like F9 is literally painting the morning sky over the dark one. You should also watch it in 0,25 speed via YouTube options. Scott Manley explains some of the alien looking physics.

All right, anyone else still reading this shit besides my alts & @Boxed Ears ? Too much work for my own entertainment u ungrateful cunts. Anyways... SN7 tank cryo test LIVE, it may be dust by the time u click it:

The Good News:

busy month for space BTW? SpaceX has another two missions scheduled weather permitting, and it could mark their busiest 30-day launch period ever. Also lots and lots of missions for small sat launch company Rocket Lab and the Chinese. AND Blue Origin has started building out its huge rocket factory, test stand and launch mount, seen in Falcon 9 fairing recovery ship background.

The bad news:

Several US states (and China, France, UK etc.) see alarming hikes in new Covid cases. Demonstrations are good, but those mass street events up close and mostly maskless guaranteed a new curve in the US and it's here. This shit will affect stock market & Tesla, especially with large factories statistically producing large number of cases. Not saying it's spreading there, most likely not with strict Covid measures, however ppl. go home, meet up, hit the streets and beaches and restaurants and there you have it: factories with sick ppl.

And now we're hitting that very question no one was ready to answer 3 weeks ago: what happens when we open up to avoid economic collapse and Covid says 'hey guy, where have you been?' Vaccine can't come fast enough. Bars and restaurants with terrace or garden are absolutely overcrowded here in Budapest, bartenders wearing no masks or gloves, this shit don't feel safe namsayin? And packed, closed mass factories aren't better masks or no masks IMO...

All right! After several hours of cryogenic pressure testing SpaceX filled up the tank and shut control valves to let pressure build up till bust right before test window ended.

All in all the new 304L stainless steel alloy SN7 tank held up well, there was no violent destruction (implosion and/or explosion) despite SpaceX outfitting SN7 with ropes and weights to keep it down and debris relatively contained if... Turns out a leak @ 7,6 bars was all that happened (probably at a weld), and no tear or rupture followed so this is promising till SpaceX figures out its own alloy. Not sure if they'll repair SN7 for another planned destruction or move SN5 for hop.

In Tesla news, Model S broke the 400 mile EV EPA range record for a customer sedan (647 km) Elon talked about before, but independent body EPA made a testing error few months back they didn't admit to. EPA redone testing and turns out that 2020 Model S Long Range Plus indeed has 402-miles per charge in a controlled environment. Tesla has achieved this with seat & battery mass reduction, better drive train efficiencies and new wheels tweaked for less drag. And we're yet to hit denser million-mile battery, though with US demonstrations and riots & Covid cases spiking in alarming rate, both Battery Day and Giga Cybertruck announcement is being pushed back. Elon wants maximum media exposure, but right now it's (rightfully) all about socioeconomic issues, healthcare and (wrongfully) about elections as DT looks to profit from new Covid discussions (where he can put the blame on WHO and China) over social injustice (which he completely ignores).

With Model 3's China surge and Giga Shanghai Phase II being built out super fast, Tesla has opened a contest in the largest EV market on the planet for the Chinese ppl. to design the next Tesla car, probably a smaller Model 2 / C at a sub-$25k price. While this would almost certainly be China-only initially (and other Gigas may build other local cars), a 3-seat Model 2 with a good compact size / long range ratio is what most ppl. are looking for before entering the EV market, and million mile denser battery on the cheap is the door for that particular breakthrough, with Autopilot an option. Tesla is building out Superchargers and Tesla Saloons in China very rapidly and a China designed, sourced, made and stamped car would certainly see a lots of customers, even those not exactly supporting US firms due to Trump's Cold War rhetoric and shenanigans.

It's a Boston Dynamics Spot breed, which sets you back 'bout 75k. He's agile, loyal and fun to work with!

Trust me, Bone...I understand. I understand the pain, and the pleasure and the passion.
In Boxed I Truss! I think?

Tesla has secured a massive Megapack deal in Venture County, California. It is a huge 100 MW / 400 MWh battery farm charged by renewables – matter of fact, largest in capacity of the kind in the world and will replace local peaker plants. Latter are hugely underused and polluting (usually) coal power plants only turning on upon high demand (think hot Summer evenings with everybody home & vents on, or Christmas), and it has horrible economics and footprint.

With Megapack u store solar & wind farm energy and distribute based on demand incl. peak hours and outages, jumping in in milliseconds if shit hits local grid rather than several seconds that could shut down ICU life support etc. Hospitals have polluting generators for outages but Megapacks handle it faster and more stable, already saving huge costs for thousands at the Aussie Hornsdale Power Reserve, the first of this type.

Better yet: you put out some solar panels & a Megapack middle of nowhere, and you supply a village with electricity without external power lines or diesel generators, and more are looking into Tesla's solution which is green, has small environmental footprint, can reuse old car battery cells for several years, is recylable and can be operated as easy as on an app.

This is just one step toward sustainability and Tesla energy business. With million mile batteries coming, surely Tesla will allow cars to connect to the grid so you can charge the car in cheap hours (or by solar cells) and sell stored energy on a profit in peak hours, so cars become peaker plant replacements. And when peak demand is down and you made a good buck, car will charge say in early morning. Tesla Autobidder SW handles this like a champ and one million huge battery cars connected to the grid could make Tesla into a huge energy powerhouse, especially with its solar business.

New day, new accusations against Elon who wants to set the record straight: he did not, I repeat: did NOT have a threesome with Amber Heard and Cara Delevigne!

Have haters no shame? They may call him out on company practices, over-promising and under-delivering and spreading shit during Covid, but frankly, it's his fucking choice who he has nor has not threesomes with, I think even @ant-man agrees with me on this one. FFS have some respect for the poor man! :(

I really shouldn't suggest that YouTubers with non-athletic body shapes should be dismissed as conspiracy theorists, that's very bullyish. Take Jack Rickard, an EV legend converting classic ICE cars to electric with very accurate predictions on Tesla stock and tech.

Elon postponed Battery Day till September 15 just yesterday, but Jack released a video before that, predicting that not Covid, not riots and not Black Lives Matter movements but the Osborne effect that is pushing Battery Day back: Tesla's breakthrough should be so profound, if that tech is not already inside cars at announcement, ppl. will simply not buy old battery Teslas.

Tesla is indeed busy streamlining its secret Fremont battery line, and more may be operational till September, so if and when these denser, longer lasting, faster made and cheaper batteries actually end up in cars ready to deliver, then and only then it is time to announce the breakthrough. Tesla has some inventory to kill, and that of course is somewhat affected by the economic downturn.

In other news, or rather news media vs. Elon, the latter announced on Twitter that both Tesla and SpaceX recognize Juneteenth as a US holiday and anyone feeling like taking that day off, they can. He later added that one must use one paid-time-off day for it, and then added that both companies are adding an extra paid, time-off day. So Elon both recognizes the calendar day marking the emancipation of enslaved ppl. (June 19th) AND adds an extra paid time-off day you may use on Juneteenth or elsewhen based on preference... and what is The Atlantic's headline? "Elon Musk’s Lesson in How Not to Celebrate Diversity", pointing out how its a fake gesture by a filthy rich white CEO. Oh dear
