Success! SAOCOM 1B successfully launched and separated from Falcon 9 on a rare polar orbit heading south from Florida's Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. It's the first mission with such profile from the Kennedy Space Center in 51 years or the Apollo era! The booster B1059.4 successfully separated, turned around, boosted back and landed on land at the launch site, another pitch perfect mission.

Now yesterday's scrubbed Starlink mission won't attempt its launch earlier than Tuesday, and worse: Starship SN6 may not hop till Wednesday or Thursday, as winds picked up (probably the after effect of Laura). Too bad they couldn't go for launch yesterday, systems look okay, just too much wind for a prototype test that needs perfect weather for proper sensory data collection.

Holy shit, Tesla stock has dropped from $2213 to $440 a share after stock split. Now it's recovering and heading toward $500...

... which of course would mean $2500 pre-split, and about $470B in market cap...

Rocket Lab and Electron are BECK! They successfully completed their debugging on their last failed launch and delivered their return mission without a hiccup, well done Peter Beck & team!

Looks like SN5 150m hop will be retried come September 3 (backup dates 4 & 5) with the new alloy SN7.1 test tank perhaps pressurized to failure on the 7th, 8th or 9th. ULA is working on the Delta 4-Heavy return to pad. Busy week expected!

Closes just under $500, well over $500 after hours... might hit half a trillion cap this week, what the fuck?

End of Summer drone footage update. Giga Shanghai Phase 2A almost ready, not much change externally, so here's an official footage mostly from Phase 1. Look at all the robots: 3 years after Model 3 production hell Giga Shanghai looks like the most advanced auto factory:

Giga Berlin hit new milestone too, just about every part of the main building (pictured below) is being worked on, Drive Unit almost finished (on the right)

Giga Austin groundwork nearing end for Phase 1. Compare shape of gravel and picture above: I think we can see where the 1st main building will be, I expect groundbreaking in 6 weeks.

Jack Rickard has sadly passed away. Besides doing electric car conversions - and being a small hero at it - he's been one of the most accurate ppl. in the EV space predicting Tesla's rise based on its vertically integrated model. His insights were spot on even when battling cancer and got to buy a Model Y just weeks before illness got the better of him. R.I.P. Jack!

Lets not jinx it, but both Starlink Mission (08:46 EDT / 12:46 UTC) & Starship SN6 hop (8AM - 8PM CDT / 1PM - 1AM UTC) are scheduled for later today. In the past few days the hugely inflated Tesla stock was corrected a few %s but still sits around $450 a share and Tesla announced a planned capital raise up to $5B to improve cash balance at about 1% dilution. No stock price was announced and all of this is optional, so they might raise up anywhere between $5B and zero. Makes sense though as they have about $14B in debt and $8,6B in cash and 3 factories being built out + many expansions. Covid R2 could also be potentially worse and more Tesla Service Centers and Superchargers are being built, so that takes some capital too.

After the US, Australia & UK, Tesla's looking to be an electric utility company in Germany too with solar panels, batteries, vehicle to grid tech and Autobidder SW. Aim is to offer 100% green energy, especially in peak hours, and Tesla cars with million mile batteries could charge at cheap rates and automatically sell energy back to the grid at a profit in peak hours vs. expensive, environmentally unfriendly coal peaker plants. On charitable news, Elon's Musk Foundation has been donating money and equipment to hurricane struck Louisiana. The family's doing charity mostly behind closed doors but of course when Elon shows up with millions of dollars worth of batteries in Puerto Rico or wants to build a cave diving submarine in a week and calls a diver a paedo, word gets out. Anyway, keep up with the good work!

Lucid Air is getting more exciting by the day. The Dream edition just beat out the Model S and every production car record on a quarter mile run. Very, very impressive as the production unveiling is just days away. Lets go!

Starlink launch link, stream starts in about 45 minutes. You may watch Elon giving interview at Giga Berlin an hour ago with hottish MILF in the background
