Staying alive, working a lot. Not much excitement lately. My daughter is graduating from High School in a couple of months, and will be legally an adult soon. That is so hard for me to believe. Tempus fugit. I gave her my BMW 328i when she got her licence, she enjoys it. She wants to get her BSN in nursing from The Ohio State University starting in fall, so I have to get her a different car that is AWD or 4WD, as it snows a lot there. Between tuition, housing, and a car, I am going to be spending a lot of money for her soon.

Oh well, poverty can be character-building. Or something.

How is your Doris and the kiddies?
Doris and I are doing great. I’m visably aging. The oldest is turning 10 in two weeks. Time indeed flies.

Ohio is not around the corner...

To be frank, I suspect that she wants to be far away from her mother, who seems to think Natalie should be into modeling. Natalie does not agree and resents her mom trying to manipulate her. It can be pretty comical, as Nat is more like me - kind of studious & cerebral, whereas Irina (my wife) is more of a social creature. They just don't see eye to eye anymore, and escaping to the dorm at OSU will give Natalie a chance to do her thing sans her mom's manipulations. Natalie and I get along great, but the young lady she has turned into does not get along so well with her mom. I guess that is a mom / daughter thing. Anyway, I am pretty sure her selection criteria of university includes being at least 1,000 miles away from her mom.

Well, she is my only child, so I do tend to spoil her a bit. It would be inconsistent to start denying her shit now. Besides, she will be in Ohio. She will need a way to periodically escape from that boring hellhole.
