Agreed.

I'd have Ocon ahead of him. I'd have Magnussen ahead of him. I'd have Le Clerc and probably Gasly. Especially considering the salary.
I definitely think leclerc and ocon are as good if not better, hopefully ocon gets a drive next year. I think it's criminal some of the drivers we have at the moment and he's been cast out. I think Magnusson is a very talented driver but not sure he will ever be an elite championship level guy. Gasly is a tough one but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt so far and say it's him getting used to the car. It's harsh to compare him to max at the moment when he's had a few years to get to grips with the red bull. I think he will come good though. A few really interesting years ahead.

Max dominated Ricciardo for a lot of last year and Ric is a seriously good driver I dont see anyone bar Hamilton doing that and max is still so young, hes more than likely going to be an all time great imo.

Ferrari are supposed to be shit hot on straights so Im guessing Baku with its ridiculous straight should be a good track for them? They really need it too, another merc 1-2 and this seasons pretty much over.

Yeah I rate Max very highly indeed. 2nd to Hamilton.

Ferrari look like they're going for more rear wing relative to Mercedes this weekend. So sacrificing some straight line speed to claw back time in the slow sections (sector 2 mainly). Considering their massive straight line advantage this could prove a good strategy. Also they have multiple upgrades.

And Honda have an upgrade. reliability based but with a small performance boost.

Close one to call, let's see what happens in FP1 and 2.

Alright lads remember to get your predictions in before qualy. FP2 Ferrari were quickest by 6 tenths but that's just practice.

Merc are running less downforce than Ferrari. Should help in the race relative to qualy as the DRS in qualy helps negate the extra drag of higher downforce that Ferrari have.

That was a strange fp1 to say the least. I feel bad for William's, arent the struggling enough. And then insult to injury the crane leaks hydraulic fluid all over the car.

Will make for some exciting passes tomorrow at least. Will be interesting to see Charles cutting through the field for a bit. Am I right in saying his lap won't be enough to see him into the top 10 still?

If Leclerc is the fastest man starting from 10th on this track he should still get podium easily and win could still be on because therell be safety cars to bunch the field up

Gaslys having a shocking season, knowing red bull hes not going to last long unless he turns it around big time

I'm pleased for bottas this year. I'm a Hamilton fan first and foremost and want him to win the title, but I think he got a bit of unfair stick last year and is rightfully changing a few opinions. He had at least a couple of wins cruelly taken away last year so it's good to see him hit the ground running and seemingly taking it to Hamilton. Max, whatever your opinion of him, is a talented guy and doing extremely well with the machinery he's got and maximising its potential. Gasly needs to seriously buck up if he is to get beyond a second year at red bull, maybe even the first at this rate! Ferrari are just making it easy for Merc atm. Merc are great but when your biggest threat is taking 2 steps forwards and 1 step back it won't be long before it becomes a 1 horse race.

Also got to laugh at grosjean, well being grosjean. He is like a fucking tumbleweed of F1. Provides no excitement, always has an excuse or complaint and basically drifts from race to race with the most mediocre of performances. I for one will be glad to see the back of him and have a solid rookie with a point to prove take his place.

The lad has been stealing a living in F1 for the best part of a decade.
