Max at the end there after an ambitious overtake fails, "I'm trying to overtake and he just turns into me". His engineer doesn't help either "good effort mate" after he comes in hot with locked tires. He comes across as such an entitled cock and I don't like him the more I see him. It was a poor effort from a mile back that was never going to stick. God forbid Hamilton turns to make the corner in a controlled manner only to be shunted by the fucking red bull, thankfully he didn't puncture a second Merc for the day or worse.

Great controlled drive for Hamilton to bring home a big win and I think that's a 17 point lead at the moment.

Think Im the only person who likes max  hes highly entertaining, hes an awesome driver and that attitude well I think all the ATGs which Im sure hes going to be have some variation of it so I dont mind it at all and like they all chat shit on the radio after on track battles

Was a great drive by Hamilton, dont know what the fuck merc were doing with his strategy but he pulled it off, barring reliability or luck im expecting him to pull away from bottas now.

Read some thing as well that the tyre changes this year is a large part of merc being so awesome, they used to be way worse than ferrari and red bull for overheating their tyres but now the tyres are better at higher temperatures so its turned their one of their only weaker points into an advantage

Well done pirelli :bellew

Don't get me wrong he's a talented driver and he can be entertaining. I just hate shit like what I said above. He does stuff like this on a regular occurrence too so it wears a little thin. I've said it before but he makes no friends on the track and when he's inevitably in a championship challenge of his own I doubt he will be given a few extra inches by others on track because of the back log of stupid moves he has made himself. Also let's not get too premature with the atg possibilities, he's yet to be in a championship battle, let alone win one and even then he will need multiple titles to gain that recognition and I think there are a few drivers around already and more coming through that will make that difficult for him.

I think something would have to go majorly wrong for him not to be really hes 21 and hes already got 5 wins and 24 podiums in the third fastest car for the majority of them I really think hes sensational I mean he is making gasly look TERRIBLE and gasly was decently rated. He will need to win titles and I think Red Bull will get there over the next few years but if they dont then Im sure whoever is winning will give him a drive at some point and he'll pick up a WDC or two which is all you need

could be wrong of course but with max itll be a fun journey either way

Merc have nearly double ferraris points already, 4th-9th are only seperated by 17 though the midfield battles awesome this year

Yeah. I don't like Verstappen, such an entitled child..ocon should have punched him last year when he got pushy and aggressive in the weigh room.

Thoughts on the 5 second penalty for Vettel? Unfair or justified? It has split ex drivers and pundts, but it was consistent with the penalty Verstappen got last year for something almost identical, not that that makes it the right choice. I don't know enough about the intricacies of the sport to have a strong opinion.

I disagree with it.

I see why they did it, but the rules shouldn't be so black and white. Context needs to be taken into account and common sense and judgement used.

Basically, if that was a regular flat tarmac run-off on a wider track and he rejoined onto the racing line like that, it's a definite penalty. But, it's not. It's a tight circuit, he went over grass on an uneven surface and was struggling to control the car. It's a racing incident for that track imo.

The only way that should be a penalty is if he deliberately turned his car onto the racing line, which I don't think he did.

Cheers, that seems to be the more predominant view too. I can understand Vettel being angry, although I thought it was pretty childish to swap the number 1 and 2 markers at the end of the race. Obviously there's a long way to go, but it's going to be tough for Vettel to challenge now, as 62 points is a lot to make up. Bottas is obviously still in it.

I thought the drama of it all was hilarious. Vettel hasn't a hope this year. Championship is done. Hamilton has 6 wins already. Worst case he gets 2 more. No way he doesn't win it with 8 wins and X number of podiums.

Yeah it would be unlikely, obviously crashes and engine failures happen, but he could have two no finishes and still be ahead of Vettel. Although Bottas is not quite so far off. Mad to think that if Hamilton's engine had not blown in the year Rosberg won it, he could be about to tie Schumacher's 7 titles.

Yeah, he was extremely unlucky that year. Everything went Rosbergs way. He's not in Hamilton's league and won the championship in the same car.

The championship will be sewn up by Japan I think. I might try get to a race in Europe this year. Been 5 years since I made a race live.

actually think if Ferrari can be more competitive it just makes Hamilton even more likely to win the wdc because Bottas is going to drop more points rather than just picking up 2nds by default and races aren’t going to be all about the starts like in the rosberg years

Don’t agree with the penalty but it was entertaining, when the camera was following vettel storming about the pits it was so funny

I was really hoping Hamilton was gonna wind him up when he walked into the drivers room before the podium. That would of been great.
