Mike was fast enough to get to Roy, especially with body shots if RJJ tried using his speed and mobility to elude head shots. However, Tyson would only need a single head shot to put Roy out.

I heard about there not being judges but what I don't get is how a fighter is not allowed to ko someone? What if a fighter doesn't even try but ends up KOing the other fighter anyway?
I think if it's deemed to be an accidental KO it will be unpunished but with 12oz gloves and 8x2's they've done their absolute best to save Roy from getting flattened on Saturday. I'm sure the warning about no KO's come with a threat of losing their purses should anyone go looking for it and so I imagine they'll just be having a light sparring session minus the headgear.

I hope BT are giving refunds to all those who booked when they thought they were getting a real fight.

This will be really sad to see. As mentioned before, there’s no way a 54 year old Tyson will be better than a 40 year old Tyson, Roy Jones has absolutely zero punch resistance. One of them is getting humiliated here, I kind of hope they do just dance around and flick a few punches per round and it goes all 8 with no winner or loser with barely a punch landed.

Is the whole card an exhibition? Just watching the weigh-in and there's a "YouTuber" and former basketball player fighting each other in a light-heavyweight contest allegedly but they both weighed in over 180lbs, Badou Jack and his opponent also both weighed in at between 185-189 for their light-heavyweight contest. Is Jack still on TMT?

As for the main event participants, Roy looked like he means business in the staredown, I almost forgot about the no KO's rule for a moment, I'm surprised they took their shirts off given they didn't have to but it was good to get a closer look before the betting closes, Tyson looks marginally better than Roy but they're both in similarly bad condition physically, not because they didn't try but they're simply just too old at this point. At least we can see they're not juicing, if one of them looked like Shannon Briggs the other man would be worried

Tyson: 220lbs Jones Jr: 210lbs

Compared to their heydays of course they don’t look as ripped, but an RJJ or Tyson in his 50s has a more impressive physique than our current lineal champ in Tyson Fury. Or a Chisora or Whyte even. They’re in fantastic shape, that’s not to say there display will reflect that of course. Imagine how sad it will be if Jones starts to put box Tyson and he fucking quits in an exhibition. It wouldn’t surprise anyone.

Tyson was shot then but I would have bet money on Tyson that year. Keep in mind that Roy did not have much of a chin even for a light heavyweight. If Tarver layed him out with one shot just a year later, just imagine what Tyson would have done with him.
Reason he didn't have a chin any more at lightheavy was the physical toil the muscle breakdown took from the weight loss.

Hard to tell, he was never really hit cleanly often before 2003, I think the toll of him losing the weight showed more in his ability to avoid punches that wasn’t the same after 2003
