RBR!!! Floyd Mayweather Jr (50-0) vs Logan Paul (0-1) - 6 June 2021

  • CHB will be closing down as of 31st July 2021. It's been a brilliant experience to run the website for the past 9 years, however it's time for me to move onto different projects. Thanks to every single person involved, from staff, former staff, posters old and current. All support means more than anyone knows. Thanks for your understanding.

I thought this kind of thing would appeal to Floyd. Exposure to a pretty new audience.

A lot of the comments on social media demonstrate exactly why this fight will probably happen.

The “I’m not saying Floyd won’t win, but Logan is a lot bigger and young and if Floyd comes in out of shape....”

Mayweather could spend the next decade or so fighting guys like Paul, without training another day in his life, and still never lose. It’s a nice 8-figure payday for him that involves marginally more effort than posing for a photo, or tying his own shoes.

Levels are so, so important in sports but seem to get overlooked when it comes to combat sports - ironically where disregarding them can be most dangerous.

Damn, he's sunk to new levels of low in efforts to protect that "0" in the loss column.

Shit like this should be looked upon just like the recent Tyson/Jones fight---------an exhibition, and nothing more.

It is an exhibition or "Super Exhibition" as Floyd describes it on IG.

I am thinking it's not gonna work out perfectly for Floyd but I am not necessarily against it as it's just an exhibition. Had it been booked as a legit fight I would against it.

I don't do Instagram, Facebook, FacePlant, Twitter, Blogs, etc. so I only know what was posted by the OP with no mention of an "Exhibition, or Super Exhibition---whatever in the hell that means.

It's bad enough he padded his record with McGregor making his ring debut as a pro for a fight that Floyd carried him into the later rounds. That fight could have been over in 3 if Floyd would have pushed it even a little bit since Connor is known to gas.

I thought there was a mistake here, I saw Paul listed at 6ft2 so I went to investigate and found out he's a Cruiserweight lol anyway here's some pricing information for you all, as has been said it's a "Super-Exhibition", no confirmation yet on the UK broadcaster but it's Floyd so you know it's on PPV.

"Early Bird" pricing is at $24.99 (£18.62) for the first million PPVs sold.

It then rises to $39.99 (£29.80), and then to $59.99 (£44.71) starting December 29.

It will then increase to $69.99 (£52.16) for the final days of build up, starting February 11.

You can buy it here if you want to buy it or just see the event details

I can't find much info on the fight itself regarding the rules but when I do I'll update.

Floyd and Logan have absolutely no chance of me paying for this fight!

$69.99 for final days sales is ridiculous!!!

I hope it tanks and they sell next to nothing

Nothing short of a money grab by Mayweather. Like he needs it---------then again, maybe he does with his "Make it rain" at titty bars and making million dollar bets in Vegas for sporting events.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I bet he is broke before he reaches old age.

Oh dear. At least the other brother Jake can fight a bit
Why are people saying this? He really can’t, he was a bigger guy throwing against a guy running in windmilling. He literally showed nothing other than a poor technique overhand right.

I wouldn’t put it past Floyd losing this one (if it’s a real fight), he is far smaller and older. People think someone like Floyd is a superhero and size doesn’t matter. It really does, and Logan is reasonably athletic and strong. He’ll take a punch a lot better than a 120 pound kickboxer (who I still think laid down) . Win or lose this is embarrassing for boxing, but since when has Floyd ever given a shit about the sport.

There is absolutely no way he loses this. What are you talking abou mate? Size matters when the other guy is skilled at least, I’m 6’3 and 190lbs but a 5’7 160lb absolute shit level amateur would beat the shit out of me. Logan Paul isn’t even regional level, let alone state or world. He’s a run of the mill athletic guy who’s had a few years boxing training, almost every half decent boxing club in existence would have a guy that would beat him up.

People vastly underestimate how important levels are in sports. Not having the power to KO elite level welterweights shouldn’t be taken to assume he doesn’t have the power to hurt a novice amateur.

There’s no possible outcome other than the Youtuber getting stopped. I realise it’s only an exhibition, but him seeing the final bell would look bad on Mayweather, thus he won’t.
