First lap by Max round the new Zandvoort circuit;

I like the banking section though I see few opportunities for overtaking.
Zandvort is a blast to drive. I think that banked section will help alot as the trailing car can go high to fund some clean air+ the banking will help mitigate the loss of grip.

Looks like a queationable place for spectators though. Anyone been there? It just looks so broken up by the dunes that there arent many places to see the cars for more than a few seconds. On the flip side looks like you can get a lot closer to the circuit than most modern tracks for a real sense of speed

On the bright side the dunes being so close to the track and limited run off should make the cars look crazy fast there

Alright lads if you haven't joined the league yet I'd suggest you do so now, changes and predictions are allowed up until qualy begins, so get it all done by friday night UK time.

@nezy37 @Steve Funn @brian1982 @ISTILLSPEAKUMTROOTH @Doooran @Bart @Ronsonfly @homebrand @Touche @Jay plus anyone else who fancies joining.

This is if the season even goes ahead. A few team members are being tested for the coronavirus at the moment and are in isolation so still time for the Aussie GP to be cancelled.

Anyway, here's Danny Ric and some kids;

Only just seen this, mate, your tag of me didn't come up in my notifications for some reason.

Not done it before but do you have to set up an account/login and then there will be somewhere to put the secrect 35144788 code because I can't see anywhere to just enter that and crack on? Or am I being a thick/blind cunt? :lol:

Oh are my tags not working then? So that's why no one responds to my threads!

Yeah you set up a quick account, name/make your team and choose your prediction for the next Grand Prix (Australia in this case obviously). You automatically join the World Championship but I've also made a private league for us so go to the Leagues sections and input the secret very hush hush code to join us.

Couple of things to consider when choosing your team. Your drivers get additional points for out-qualifying their team mate plus points for every position gained through the race.

There doesn't look anything wrong with the tags, so I don't know why I didn't get the notification and obviously can't speak for others. @dkos @Jay thoughts on the tags, assuming you've been notified here? :lol:

I'll check out site later and sort out a team. :good

Did you add in certain tags after making your post? If you edit them in after originally posting, the user/s won't get a notification.

If it's not that, then... :conf

I don't post here often but have been around in passing since the ESB days.
I spend a lot of time in the racing circles as a good mate races (and won Daytona) and their view seems to be Vetel or Verstappen this year for what it's worth.

No mate I did it all in one go. It's minor issue so no worries anyway.

How epic would it be if Verstappen replaced Bottas? Every race would've been tooth amd nail with Hamilton.

It would be like 2007 at McLaren. A complete nightmare for Toto Wolff.

In other news, the season's been suspended until roughly Baku I think. I expect it will be delayed even longer. The interesting question is whether the 2020 season will extend over to 2021 and the new regulations will be pushed back a year. No teams will want to waste all those hundreds of millions they spent on this year's cars.

8 races need to be completed for a champion to be crowned so even if we pick up the season in Italy we can still have a season and that's without rescheduling any of the cancelled races for later in the year.

Just been watching Drive To Survive on Netflix.
Getting me all hyped for the races but no races to watch :(

feel bad for Gasly last season. Just could t deal with the pressure at Red Bull

You blokes who are more knowledgeable... when the 2021 (or is it 2022 now) cars come.... how much will that shake things up?

Former Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone is set to become a dad for the fourth time.
The 89-year-old told Swiss newspaper Blick his wife Fabiana Flosi, 44, is pregnant, as the pair self-isolate at their home in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
He said: "Yes, it is due in the summer. Hopefully he’ll learn to play backgammon soon!"

Fabiana told the newspaper: “Like all parents we have only one wish: the child must be born healthy.
“Hopefully he will never express any interest in doing something in Formula 1!”
Mr Ecclestone added: “After my Formula 1 time, we’ve had plenty of time to practice!”
The couple also said they will be remaining in isolation in Brazil during the coronavirus crisis.
The baby boy is due in July and will be the billionaire businessman's first son.
Mr Ecclestone, a grandfather-of-five, will be just weeks short of his 90th birthday at the time of the new arrival.
He currently has three children - Deborah, 65, Tamara, 35, and Petra, 31.

The eccentric business mogul has amassed an estimated fortune of £2.5billion from his involvement in Formula 1.
Over the course he has had three marriages - to Ivy Bamford, model Slavica Radic and his current wife Fabiana.
He married marketing director Ms Flosi in 2012 - three years after he divorced Croatian model Ms Radic.
The couple met through the World Motor Sport Council in around 2009.
Mr Ecclestone was born the son of a fisherman in Suffolk in 1930 and after WWII got his first job at a gasworks testing gas purity.
His first involvement in motorsport was trading spare parts for motorcycles before he branched into car racing in 1949, driving Formula 3 series cars.
After making successful investments in property he returned to motorsport in a management role making his first entry into Formula 1.
He was involved in team ownership until 1978 when he formed the Constructors Association in 1974 and became its chief executive four years later.
